he wasn't rocked by urango? he took 1 hard body shot that is all. and anyway urango probably has more 1 punch power than cotto. even at the stage hatton fought koysta he was top 3 p4p, and a level above cotto at 140 or at the very least on the same level. however cotto never fought anyone at hattons level at 140.

and to suggest cotto, zab and bradley would kill hatton in the ring shows what a moron who knows nothing you are.

What I don't remember is anyone calling Tzsyu 'faded' before the fight. Actually, I remember him being consensus P4P top three after his destruction of Mitchell seven months previously and widely expected to demolish Hatton.

The real point should be that Cotto has never fought anyone up to the level of Hatton's best win.

 

Funny I remember before the fight a Tzsyu who hadn't fought in over a year, before taking a tune up against an equally faded Mitchell. A Tzsyu who had nothing but negative news in his training camp for the fight. To say Koysta was in his prime when Hatton fought him is a ****ing joke.

Hatton beat him though, so that can not be argued, but to say Cotto never fought anyone the caliber of Koysta seems like a sick joke to me, Sugar Shane is a nobody now?

 

Cotto was very impressive in most of his bouts at 140. Towards the end he was having trouble making the weight but this thread asks about each guy on their best night not a Struggling Cotto vs an in shape Hatton. That being said one would have to assume that Cotto had a very good training camp and made weight with no problem. That being the case I don't think that Hatton would stand a chance.

 

mosely as good as he was at that point wasn't in the p4p top 10, koysta was top 3, and cotto's fight with moseley was very close with moseley starting to get on top towards the end, the descision could have gone either way and it wouldn't have been a robbery, hatton made kostya quit.

 

I think Hatton could stop him late.

 

2 different kinds of power. Kostya had the 1 punch KO power and his power was on the end of his punches. Hatton was able to negate that by fighting really close on the inside and staying insise of Tzyu's danger zone. Cotto's power is much better on the inside and he is not a 1 punch guy. Much like Hatton he wears guys down. Really I don't think that either guy has a good enough defense to avoid the other guys shots for the whole fight. A lot of leather would be landed and I would favor the bigger, stronger, harder punching Cotto in a late stoppage

Keep in mind we are talking about both guys on their best night so one would have to assume that Cotto had no problems making weight. He was still very very strong at 140. He was still breaking guys down vicisously. He gets under rated as a 140 pound fighters because of 2 fights in which he was rocked even though he won both of those fights by KO

 

What makes you think Hatton is soo strong? I've never seen his supposed massive strength against quality guys.
