Competitive fight at first, but Cotto gets the late TKO (Hatton knocks himself out by crashing head first into a post).

I think Cotto is too accurate, either way it would be a great fight!

loosen up, I actually like your boy Hatton. It would be a very intriguing fight, and my opinion is Cotto by late TKO (you know why :rasta)

Tszyu would have killed Cotto at 140 pounds.

The Tszyu that Hatton fought would have been KO'd by Cotto.

Cottos stamina wasn't good enough nor was his punch resistance. I think Hatton would edge the war. We are talking about a man that lost 4 or 5 rounds to N'dou and Malignaggi because of stamina, punch resistance and his opponenets toughness. 147 Cotto is a different animal. Hatton would not break and he'd be all over him like a rash. Hatton of Kostya Tszyu fight brings the pain.

We don't know if he would break against N'dou, Torres, Bailey, or Corley because Hatton never fought them. We do know that a lightweight had Hatton out on his feet until the friendly ref broke up the action so that Hatton could tie his shoe. We know that Urango brutalized his ass.

I see nothing in Hatton that could withstand Cotto at 140. You take the best Cotto and the best Hatton at 140 and Cotto beats him down brutally with body shots, blistering combos, and great movement.

Cotto had stamina problems, meaning he could only fight in spurts and...

...he had a poor chin at 140. Even Malignaggi stunned him a couple of times!!

Hatton at 140 has a very good chin and superb stamina. I think his relentless pressure would overwhelm Cotto and his spurts, resulting in a late TKO victory for Hatton.

I think it'd be a messy fight with Hatton tying up Cotto's left a lot on the inside, whilst trying to fire his own. Hatton was stronger at the weight, which would enable him to come out on top in these situations.

Could he take the shots that Margo took and not be hurt? I seriously doubt it.

I think so but doubt he would have to as he is a better boxer.

He isn't a better boxer, but if you want to go that route, do you think Hatton can outbox Cotto? I thought you were basically admitting Hatton would have to be Margo and absorb a lot and generate pressure to beat Cotto? Are you changing that stance?
