I think the intended point is that the Tszyu that Hatton beat was better than the one that Cotto beat.

Tszyu was inactive but in good form
Mosley was inactive but in good form

Mosley vs Tszyu should have happened circa 2002!

If we're going by P4P ratings then, to use the Ring magazine ratings as a guide, since 2004.

Hatton fought Tsyzu when Tszyu was ranked number three in the world P4P.

Cotto fought Mosely when Mosley was ranked number four in the world at his weight.

Cut the crap, you talked recklessly and were called on it.

Cotto has fought just as many good fighters as Hatton. Take the blinders off. Fact is Cotto has been in the ring at 140 against better opponents than Ricky and performed better. Cotto was monsterously dominant in the division, Ricky fought Koysta and cashed it in, he has been fighting bums at 140 ever since, except for his last fight against Paulie.

That's nothing to do with what I said.

How was I called on anything? I said the Tszyu that Hatton fought was a better opponent than anyone Cotto has fought in his career.

Very simple statement. Who Hatton may have fought since and how he performed comparatively is utterly irrelevant.

I know what you said and you were simply called out for being wrong. The Mosley that Cotto fought was just as good or better than the Koysta that Hatton fought.

Hell the Zab that Cotto fought was just as good as the Koysta that Hatton fought. Margarito was better than the Koysta that Hatton fought. Cut the BS man.

Koysta was a great champ, but your infatuation is clouding your judgement.

Well, my answer would be Cotto, and Paulie seems to agree with me. Here is a quoted section of a recent interview with Paulie at a boxing site where "boxing is what they talk"

GL: So comparing Hatton and Cotto, Cotto was a diferent animal in terms of strength?

PM: "Yeah. But I don't want to knock Hatton because he did his job and he's a great guy with a bunch of great people of him. He did a fantastic job on Saturday night, but Miguel Cotto was the better fighter. I left the ring with Miguel Cotto thinking, damn even if I was at my best it would be a tough fight to beat this guy. With Ricky Hatton I didn't feel that way, I feel like I cheated myself out of performing my best and it's probably something I'm going to be kicking myself in the ass over for the rest of my life."

Well there we have it, the man who got his ass beat by both of them saying Cotto is on another level.

Source? - By that I mean a proper one, not Greg Leon's bull**** site.

Paulie always tells the truth, right?

Has he actually realised that Hatton didn't allow him to do his job properly, rather than Cotto who simply beat him up?

Whichever way you look at it, Cotto couldn't stop Paulie - Hatton did.

Also, what relevance does that article have to this thread?

    Cotto by stoppage

Cotto's accuracy wins this fight. Hatton tends to lunge in a lot and Cotto has become quite a counter puncher. I don't think hatton would be able to maintain Cotto's power for 12 rounds at either weight class, though Cotto would need to conserve more energy at 140

No Hatton didn't stop Paulie, Paulie's corner stopped him. Which is confusing to me seeing that they let the kid get his face broken by Cotto, but who knows.

Back on topic, now you know more about Hatton and Cotto than a man who has fought them both?
