    Tough fight to call.

With Tim Austin, I don't think he had the greatest chin but I really rated his all-round ability before he ran into big-punching Rafael Marquez. He had power at the weight, and I think Rose could be stopped, was pretty quick aswell, and of course had that south paw stance.

However I think a prime Rose would beat him. He had great speed of his own, excellent footwork and hit hard enough to gain his opponent's respect, and probably hard enough to stop Austin. The way he picked apart Fighting Harada, one of the great bantams, was superb.

I'm going with Rose via 10th round TKO. I think over 12 Austin may just survive, over 15 I think he certainly get's stopped in the championship rounds of 13, 14 or 15.

EDIT: Forgot to post a match-up, erm, how about Jiro Watanabe vs Johnny Tapia at 115?

    Good post.

Well in Watanabe we have a guy who's skills i seriously rate in terms of boxing, in Tapia we have a guy who has good footwork and handspeed that means he can simply win fights by flurrying to decisions.

I think that early the good footwork of Watanabe enables him to be more of an elusive target than Tapia first thinks, but Tapia comes on later to dig in and simply land the shots to take the decision.

Virgil Hill vs Victor Galindez at 175?

Virgil Hill a good tachtician, but he could not keep off"El Animal" Galindez too aggressive. Hill could very well take an early lead. Galindez will come on strong late, Hill just might last the distance. Galindez UD 15.

Fernando Vargas .Vs. Miguel Cotto at 147.

I'm goin to take a risk and pick Cotto, my main reasoning is that i think he has done well at the weight and Vargas is big there, if he's weight drained i think Cotto's educated pressure (not that it would neccessarily need to be educated to find his man here, but more that bodyshots are a big part of the arsenal he posesses). Cotto late on.

Don't get me wrong, at 154 Vargas by stoppage maybe in the middle of the schedule.

Jake LaMotta .Vs. Vito Antuofermo ( A rare fight where Cuts were not a major factor for Vito).

It's alright you don't have to cover yourself for the cuts outcome with me, i don't do them kop-outs!

Tough fight but i think Lamotta takes the last rounds and gets a clear decision.

Julio Cesar Chavez vs Ike Williams at 135

Buchanan by a wide UD in a showcase where Diego is overmatched....in a 15 rd affair we might even see this end prior to the cards.

    Razor Ruddock vs Buster Douglas

I think Ike would outwork the hell out of him. Just too busy and too much variety to his offense, and I think his chin was tough enough to handle whatever McCall would land in return.
