Close one, in my opinion. Marciano's style gives Johnson trouble.

Johnson takes the lead in the first 6 rounds. Marciano cut in round 6.

In round 7, Marciano decks Johnson for an 8 count. Johnson rises, temporarily gets into a brawl with Marciano, and is staggered as the round ends.

Rounds 8 through 12 are pretty even, as Johnson turns cautious with Marciano trying to press the action.

Result: Johnson wins by split decision.

Have to go with Tapia, just wouldn't quit in his prime. Too much energy, too many punches. Tapia TKO in nine.

Arturo Gatti .Vs. Cornelius Boza-Edwards @ 130. 12 Rounds.

 

I would probably have to favor Gatti in an absolute war. Edwards ability to get suckered into fighting his opponent's fight (as I saw him do against Alexis) favors Gatti, who probably would've found a way to either stop Boza late or eek by on points. It wouldn't surprise me if this wound up being a trilogy of sorts.

Joel Casamyor against Marco Antonio Barrera at 130 lbs

 

Boza edwards gets it in a bruiser. His better boxing skills will see him through as on his day he was one of the best SFW and gave Arguello fits. An exciting 9-3 8-4 kinda fight UD for Boza

Jim Driscoll vs Willie Pep over 15

 

I just haven't seen extensive stuff of Driscoll, but not of prime Pep for that matter. I'm picking Pep to not give Driscoll much opportunity to counter, and get a decision.

Marco Antonio Barrera vs Eusebio Pedroza

 

I think Casamayor might have the better overall boxing ability, Barrera is more than willing to go to war. casamayor doesn't shy away from infighting. That would be his undoing against the likes of MAB. Barrera to take Casa out around the eleventh.

John Verderosa .Vs. Arturo Gatti @ 130.

 

Jorge Castro didn't train for any fight, he just went to the gym a week before the fight to spar beat everybody up and lose some weight for the fight

 

I think Pedroza would be able to counter any roughhouse tactics Barrera would throw at him and be wiley enough in the late rounds to pull this one off in a 15 round fight. Pedroza 15 round Split Decision.

Jose Luis Castillo .Vs. Edwin Rosario 12 Rounds Lightweight.

 

It's a very tough one for me to call, i think (i would rather say i know) that Castillo can take the bombs of Rosario here, maybe they can catch up with him though. The fight with Chavez may be an indicator of how this one would go, but i do think Chavez in head to head terms is a better fighter than Castillo (though for me it's not a stratospheric gulf). Also in my opinion Castillo was the best lightweight of his era,

Acelino Freitas vs Edwin Rosario

 

In fact La-Califa, i keep giving you dudd match-ups, Rosario would stop the **** out of Freitas. Sorry.

Rosario vs Montgommery instead.

 

Mongomery would be too much for Edwin. Avoiding the dangerous right hand early. Monty should take over in the late rounds. for a late stoppage or UD.

Carlos De Leon .Vs. David Haye @ 195. Cruiserweight

 

Well i think DeLeon would be frustrating, but Haye could get the win by turning it on, maybe later on in the bout.

Johnny Nelson vs Jean Marc Mormeck

 

Nelson wins near shutout...Mormeck to slow, not skilled enough and lacks the stamina..Johnny's chin a bit to solid aswell, minimizes the punchers chance.
