I can see Pintor stopping Marquez however,I dont think they are in a different class I think Marquez was pretty damn good at Bantam. That Saad Galindez fight could go either way,but Im gonna go with Galindez by Decision I think Saad comes up short of pulling out another miracle in this one.
Marquez was good, I'm not disputing that. Pintor was tighter, sturdier, and hit as hard if not harder. I think Galindez wins a decision though Saad can pound out a victory in the last five if the first ten rounds are close. I'd go for Galindez too.
Hernandez is a fine boxer & would try & control Chacon at a distance. But the"School Boy" is too relentless & would squeek out a tight decision win. Rafael Ruelas .Vs. Cornelius Boza-Edwards. Jr. Lightweight 12 Rounds.
I can see the Hernandez Chacon fight going that way especially over 15 rounds. But in a 12 round fight Id take Hernandez both are 2 of my favorites, Chacon especially. As for Ruelas Boza wow that would be another War, and pretty evenly matched cause Ruelas was pretty strong at JL. But im gonna lean towards Boza by Tko 9 in a classic war. Jose Luis Ramirez vs Jose L Castillo
I like Ramirez's southpaw stance and (at his peak) superior footwork in this. Ramirez by decision. Next up: Gene Tunney vs. Jersey Joe Walcott
Tunney's quick footwork keeps him out of the traps Walcott attempts to set. Tunney points. Joey Giardello/Luis Rodriguez @ middle.
I think Castillo would have beat Ramirez by a very close decision, although hed probably have to get of the canvas at some time in the fight. I think Castillo was just a little better at cutting of the ring and more fluid, although id say Ramirez was the bigger puncher and even had a better Chin. I think Tunney was ahead of his time as a technical boxer and he had good movement. With that being said though, i still think Boxing had progressed so much just in those 25 or so years. I think Walcott would have won a Close but convincing decision. I wouldnt rule out a late stoppage but Tunney was elusive and tough.
At middle id take Giardello on a close points win. However PFP i think Rodriguez was a little better Emile Griffith vs Wilfredo Benitez at 147 or 154
Close, hard-fought, semi-tactical struggle, but I think Griffith's aggression gives him the edge and earns him a close, probably controversial decision. Next up: Battling Battalino vs. Vicente Saldivar
What a fight that would be. Ill take Palomino's better skills and iron chin to see him last through Pipino's frightening power. Carlos to stop him in about 10 after a war. Johnny Tapia vs Venice Borkhosor.
I'm gonna pick Borkhosor to win by sensational late stoppage whilst trailing. Borkhosor TKO15 Tapia. Morales v Esparragoza
Nobody at bantam weight would have stopped Tapia hell Barrera couldnt even stop an old Tapia at Feather!Borkhosor was very good for a few years but he lost to a few guys who were not as good as Johnny. Johnny gets underrated alot infact I thought he was robbed in the 2nd Ayala fight. Tapia wins this one by a hardfought decision 116-113 or 8-5-2. Morales beats Esparragoza by tko 12 or a hardfought decision. Esparragoza could really punch but he could be outworked, a peak Morales would take advantage of that. Esparragoza could punch but not hard enought to ko Morales Morales tko 12
