I think that Lennox would have finished him...Vitali was hung onto Lewis like a drunken ***** in the previous round...anything big lands and its goodnight IMO

Lewis would've stopped him IMO. Great fight but if Lewis had prepared properly,he would've secured the victory without getting embroiled in World War 3.

 

Lennox ends not only Vitali's night but his career.

If I recall correctly, the doctor who examined Klitschko's eye said that he was a 1/4 of an inch away from being blinded. Best ever stoppage by a referee/doctor.

Also, perhaps most importantly, the tide had already turned and Lennox was in the ascendancy.

 

There's a thread on the GF called "Vitali would have definately gotten him outta there in one more round" or something. It's been running for about 6 years.

 

Look at the last 10 seconds of the last round, Vitali is clinging on for dear life and Lennox has just landed absolute bombs on him. Both were blowing out their arse but Lewis was coming on stronger and I think would have taken him out of there in the next few rounds.

 

He wins comfortably but I cant see anyone taking Vitali out in 4. He's one tough ******* and would take a lot of punishment.
