an unprepared Lewis would have got rid of him in 7 that night, so what round would a fit motivated Lewis have got him out ?

Its all hypothetical I suppose but I certainly wouldn't underestimate Vitali's chin.

Think i'm actually going to watch their fight tonight:rasta

I've often felt that it basically would've been like the sixth again.

Grappling, struggling, wrestling, Vitali going jab-jab-right and Lewis loading up on big single uppercuts and crosses. End result nothing except Vitali's cuts even worse.

He was getting busted up. Vitali was winning 4-2 in rounds but the big difference is that Lewis was pacing himself where as Vitali was letting leather fly. Down the stretch would serve well for Lewis. Vitali's face was not lasting another 6. Lewis caused that damage with his fists. Damage is damage.

I'm glad you're not all saying Vitali would have won like is usually the case on the general forum. Lewis had just had his best round of the fight and Vitali had spent most of the 6th just holding on. People talk about how Lewis sat down heavily or whatever at the end of the round but watch Klitschko and he takes about 15 seconds to get to his corner!

It's also worth pointing out that Klitschko wasn't going to complain about the stoppage until his promoter whispered in his ear and (I'm guessing) told him to.

If the cut wasn't a factor, Vitali wins the fight.

Factor in the cut, and Vitali is lucky the fight was stopped. 1 more round would just be a few more mins of Lennox pounding that eye with jabs and making it worse.

People talk about Vitali leading on the cards like this is chess or some ****. This is fighting and second to a ko has to be damage. Points come into play after 12 battles have been fought but if you are unable to continue after 6 battles then the cards don't mean ****.

I mean look at Vitali's face. It was like that for a while so he had his chance to get the ko but he didn't. Lewis was playing it smart, pacing himself and slowly but surely muscling while inflicting maximum damage.

Lewis is the first and last boxer to make Vitali pay for his flaws. When his head was up, he took it off with an overhand, when he was holding he ripped it with an uppercut. Plus, Lewis ate one of the best shots Vitali had. Fair dues to Vitali as he ate one of Lewis best shot but the guy was getting busted up. Didn't Vitali get about 60 stitches.

Imagine the bloodbath if it went another round, it would've been like an abattoire's floor.
