and Wilder wins by knockout would he be viewed as the greater fighter overall than Fury?

isn't the recent winner is always viewed as better?

    just saying

say Fury beats AJ and Wilder beats Usyk and they have a 4th fight for undisputed and wilder wins by KO

would people start to view Wilder as better than Fury because he won the recent fight that was also undisputed?

They won't let it go will they

Fury beat him 3 fkin times already.. if they approach there 40s & have some sort of side show match where somehow Wilder did knock him out I don't think it would really matter tbh.. at there peaks Fury was vastly superior.. I see it in mma sometimes aswell.. Lidell v Ortiz for example ... Ortiz sparked him not long back but no one cared... Jesus, just move on...

Hypothetically, if Wilder beats Usyk and wins all his straps, and Wilder fights Fury and wins all his, many may view Wilder as the winner of the series.

Pacquiao floored Marquez like three times in their first fight draw. Manny floored him again in their second when he won the return, and won the third as well. But everyone remembers Pac face down on the floor unconscious and his wife screaming trying to get to him in their fourth fight.

However, even if Wilder were to beat Usyk, I don't think Fury would fight Wilder again unless Fury lost to Joshua or someone else. If Fury beats Joshua, and Wilder wins against Usyk, Fury would have no interest in a fourth fight.

Fury said afterward their third meeting he thought he got brain damage from Wilder's punchers, and it took a court order for Fury to even fight Wilder that third time.

As long as Fury's winning, he isn't fighting Wilder again.

But if he loses his title to Joshua and loses the return, too, and Wilder was still active and a champion, that's the only scenario where I imagine he'd fight Wilder again.

Long story short, I don't think think we'll see a fourth fight.

Wilder got outclassed by Fury coming back from absolute oblivion, fat as a pig. Wilder will NEVER beat any version of Fury.

Truth is, Fury was a trim 256 and boxed excellently when Wilder floored him twice, matched him basically blow for blow, and successfully defended his WBC title against Fury.

What Fury learned in that first fight was the heavier he was against Wilder, the less he got on his toes and boxed, the more he brawled, and the dirtier he fought, the better it was for him.

Because Fury failed to win in the only fight where he tried to "outclass" Wilder.

Fury added 20 pounds for their second and third fights and fought two very dirty, brawling fights.

the 2nd fight? the 2nd fight was a clear outclassing.. Fury was unbelievable that night and didn't get touched at all by Wilder

the 3rd fight he had a all time crap camp and still clearly outclassed Wilder

Not hypothetical but actually no one would watch it. Even with Spinal Tap on the undercard.

Hell, he was 20 pounds heavier than their first meeting. And the second fight was a mauling, fouling brawl. He totally changed his style for the rematch. And, to his credit, it worked.

And this nonsense about Fury's camp for the third fight is just that, nonsense. Fury was in the gym for six months before the Wilder fight. He was training for Joshua, then when the judge ruled he had to fight Wilder, he remained in the gym. He posted videos on his Twitter account the entire time. It was one of the longest camps of his career, even with the couple weeks when his daughter was in the hospital, he'd go to the gym in the morning and to the hospital in the evenings ... he posted photos and videos of that as well.

And he almost scored a third round stoppage over Wilder. Had he, it would've been viewed as his best performance of the three.

But then Wilder floored him twice in the fourth and Fury barely got out of the round. And, afterward, Fury said he thought Wilder's punches in that fight had given him brain damage.

No, it isn't viewed that way. For the official record, he'll have one victory over two losses, but in reality will be one victory over three losses and it's clear that Wilder has nothing against Fury, so this topic is one big "if".
