Ward would need to grow a set before he thinks of fighting Kovalev . The Krusher would be too much for him. Don't matter to Sergey Oakland or Okinawa he'd knock the ring rust off Billy Goat Ward

If he beats Stevenson AND Kovalev I would have to get membership to the fan club and a ticket to the hype train. I doubt that he beats Stevenson and I'll be amazed if he beats Kovalev.

Kinda how I see it too... if he manages that I'm a fan, even if he spends the rest of his career fighting bums in Oakland every 1½ years.

Of course I would give him credit for that. He'd also almost certainly be a lock for p4p number one if he cleared out 175. Now tell him to get out there and make it happen!

Hey Teach wouldn't theoretically be more appropriate in this case?

No it's hypothetically as based on hypothesis, an idea or a guess and not a proven theory as it has not occurred yet...if X was to happen what would it mean for Y, aka if Ward was to fight these guys and win what would your reaction be.

Nice try though but no dice :hi:

No since you the TS fully believes this scenario will happen its theoretically to you, because if he fights them he will win in your opinion. And how are we supposed to hypothetically give someone credit for something that you theoretically believe will happen yet in reality its only you rhetorically speaking.:D

without question, i would give Ward full credit for beating bigger guys like Stevenson, Beterbiev, Kovalev or even Fonfara and Pascal

I TRULY and HONESTLY believe Ward would stop Adonis Stevenson.

I would say around 8 rds.

Stevenson would be dangerous for about 6/7 rds, but Ward could land the lead R hand over and over and finally rid us of this ducking POS.

But it's complete fantasy considering Ward is fighting under the Roc Nation banner for now, and Stevenson, 37 y/o, is still under contract with Al Haymon.

That said, Ward could potentially fight Brahmer and win the WBA minor title, and it would easily be his 2nd best win.

That would be a good fight right there, and a perfect opportunity for Ward to win a title on the rd.

Brahmer is a top class LHW, but Ward is a step above, and would have an unoffical 10lb weight advantage as he'd walk in the ring close to 200 without having to drain so much to make weight.

Winning the WBA minor title, would give ward an opprtunity for a 50/50 split with Kovalev.

Hell, he could possibly set up a PPV if he could get a couple solid defenses vs the likes of Murat, Cleverly, BHOP and then if Kovalev is still undefeated as well, it could be the LHW version of Canelo vs GGG.

If Ward was to beat Brahmer, Cleverly/Fonfara winner, and Barerra/Oosthuizen etc, then fight Kovalev on PPV and beat him.......

Ward fans would have a very strong case for calluing him the GOAT.

I never once said I believed this scenario will happen and I never once said in the thread that I believed that he will win these fights...frankly this has nothing to do with my opinions. I proposed a simple scenario of what might happen if he does fight these guys and wins aka a hypothesis. So as stated in thread title, it's hypothetically speaking.

So yeah, don't quit your day job to be some sort of literacy coach.

Oh bull**** you think the sun rises and sets out of Ward's rectal cavity so if any of these matches happen to take place you think he'll win. Otherwise you wouldn't have done this poorly worded thread.:deal Also you're asking if "this scenario" takes place what will be our responses. As if its a fact which would make it theoretical, where as hypothetical you're asking us to guess what our responses will be on something that is unproven. But the way the thread is worded you're not presenting us with a set scenario that has been proven, so the way its presented is.... in theory if this happened would you give him credit.:good

And for the record I wouldn't hate one of the "greatness" I'd give him credit, although I'd be mad as hell that he beat my guys. Excluding Adonis I'd be thrilled if he KO'd him.

Damn right, any boxing fan in their right mind would give him huge credit if he went up and beat Kov.
