You must know it is overwhelmingly likely Holyfield used due to the details of the Balco investigation, we are not far apart on that.
But it is unreasonable to say everyone or nearly all have been using for 40 + years.
That is as extreme & unsupported a belief as the opposite extreme-that nobody ever not caught ever even dabbled in PEDs.
You can selectively site possible motivations for athletes using, but it is as broad, selective & untenable as the opposite naive view, that ethics, fear of being caught, punishments, banning, reputation destruction, public mockery, humiliation & myriad legitimate health concerns means cheating & lying is rare.

Either extreme is unlikely & the best we can rationally claim is we do not have any decent idea about *how* common PED usage is.

 

its already proven that Holyfield used steroids. evan fields situation solidified all the doubts you should look into that. as far as Tyson, we really dont know. he was pretty big and muscular since he was a kid but that doesnt mean he didnt use steroids. we just dont have any proof. but i think you make a good point. if you look at heavyweights from the 90's and compare them to heavyweights of the past there is a huge difference
