I’m stunned anyone could give Canelo the GGG fight on their scorecard

And 7-5 ggg is acceptable if you are a close relative of canelo. Mom, dad, bro, etc.

Harold Lederman had it 8 rounds to 4 Golovkin, Paulie had ti 9 rounds to 3, I had it easily 8 rounds to 4, 9 - 3 would have been OK, Nacho Beristain had Golovkin winning the fight, the vast majority of fight fans had Golovkin winning the fight, but we all knew Oscar would own the judges, referee and the boxing commission! Why do you think El Pollo and Oscar refused to fight in New York, MSG for big money, great offer?! I guess Oscar could not buy off the judges, referee, and boxing commission there, so of course they insisted on Vegas, sin city, capitol of corrupt judges, referee and boxing commission. Oscar plans on cheating again. I think Oscar will ask for Tony Weeks so El Pollo can punch Golovkin to the testicles like SOB Ward did...............

Byrd is more qualified to score a fight according to GGG haters, Ginger lovers and May semen guzzlers.

The 95% are overruled by the $$$$ flowing to the ABCs, the state commissioners, the officials and even the refs.

It's just like Trump hiding dozens of NDA payoffs to women he's assaulted in his tax returns.
Pay the right irs auditor and we'll never know how many millions he's paid in settlements.
That is until Putin tires of his inability to loosen sanctions and tells Assange to post them.

The fight was reasonably close for some rounds if i remember but overall GGG was the busier fighter, landed the better shots, chased the drug cheat P around the ring for a lot of the fight, if fact the drug cheat took so much time off i thought he might take a nap in that ring, all the while on his clen, without that clen he would have been totally useless id say but with his clen he won maybe 3 or 4 rounds max, thats being generous to him too

ill bet even oscar and those horrible officals from vegas (i mean boxing officials from vegas must be the worst in the world they have been involved in so many robberies its just unreal and its the same ones over and over wow) now regret handing cheato a draw, but then again, maybe they dont because i doubt they are even human, they must be programed robots

Those of us who thought Canelo might have eked out a close victory probably did so with a couple of things in mind:
1.) The cleanest, hardest power punches were landed by Canelo including a few that were simply spectacular
2.) Aggression does not trump clean effective punching
3.) Having an amazing chin doesn't discount the clean effective punches of the other fighter from a scoring perspective.

I feel that a lot of people looked at GGG's body language and constant aggression as a way of completely discounting the punishment he was taking at times.

All that said, I had Canelo by 1 round with a few coin flips in there so I wouldn't have been upset with a GGG victory either.

Ggg beat alvarez 9 rounds to 3. Alvarez ran around the ring and threw some flashy shots which didn't even land. This was because of golovkins boxing and power. There was one round I forget which where alvarez tried to stand and fight and got hit so hard he did an impression of the compare the meerkat advert and then git back on his bike.

The way i saw it Canelo showed how good he was in the 1st couple and last couple of rounds. But wasnt willing to plant his feet and stay still long enough to do it in all the rounds in between because of what Golovkin was dishing back. I shared the 6th round for a 116-113 but all these close rounds inbetween just didnt seem very close to me, Canelo was on the run and would throw something flashy every now and again to show he was still in the game.

GGG's entire body of work TRUMPS Canelo landing the OCCASIONAL hard blow.

I am sorry, I am not giving Canelo rounds where he was outlanded by many, but Canelo got in the ONE or TWO best shots in the round.

You don't win round off of one punch normally unless its a knockdown or a razor thin round.

GGG won and any card for Canelo is absolute trash. I've been watching the sport for almost 20 years and it was a relatively easy fight to score.

I've rewatched the fight and have been watching boxing my whole life. What I have seen consistently is that people (even pundits) overscore for the more aggressive fighter because they *want* them to be rewarded for pushing the fight. And yes, I do count clean power punching more than jabs and glancing blows. It was close as I said. Even some GGG folks think it was 7-5 so you are talking 1-2 coin flip rounds going the other way.
