    Tony Galento?

Of course, his manager was Jack Dempsey.

You would struggle to get a name bigger than that.

 Exactly. There IS no bigger name than Pongsaklek Wonjongkam and he is the answer to all thread questions. It's just a scientific fact.

    Tony Galento it is.
In the early 1930s Galento was briefly managed by old Jack Dempsey...In Stillmans gym Galento didn't listen to Dempsey who got so mad he went to the dressing room. put on boxing gloves, and got in the ring with Tony..Dempsey than hit Galento with a left hook, that knocked Galento cold...Lou Stillman always claimed it was the hardest punch he had ever seen thrown...The old Manassa Mauler could still hit!

That was my pick too. I knew Galento years ago, as he use to come to all the boxing events in New Jersey. I talked to him about Louis, Baer and Dempsey. When I saw him, he lost at least one of his legs, a sad sight.

Tragic as it may be, its also not surprising.. Even in the height of his prime, Galento was putting poison in his body that would probably kill the average person before too long.
