    I was a former pro fighter, never kod in 138 fights.I was a stablemate and
    pal of an alltime great, and after my career as a boxer was associated
    with another alltime great.All 3 of us came from a famous city.Who am I ?

    The other two your talking about is Harry Greb and Billy Conn, as they are all from Pittsburgh

    hh, as usual you are right.Johnny Ray, was a boxer who fought in the same stable as the great Harry Greb.Ray had 138 fights and was never kod..He later trained a youngster from Pittsburgh,Billy Conn to a Light
    Heavyweight title..A great trainer who liked his liquor,was Ray.
    P.S. His brother was Jake Pitler, the coach for the Brooklyn Dodgers .i would see him at Ebbetts Field, but never realized he was the brother
    of Johnny Ray, Conn's Trainer...Nice to hear from you...b.b.

    I have been very busy. I am working on the New Jersey Boxing Hall of Fame Affair, I had to get my selections in on both the Modern and Old-Timers for the International Boxing Hall of Fame and I am also the Ring Announcer this Saturday night at Bally's in Atlantic City.
