I actually admire Pac for taking a stance and holding his ground on principle...

I think all too often, people bend and break, selling their souls for a dollar. The money doesn't mean as much to Pac as his dignity. He has stated that he would not allow Maywether to institute any demands for testing other than what is mandated by the commission. He has stated that he will not be bullied into any demands made by Floyd about something that a commision is appointed to do. And he is not budging out of principle. I don't see a damn thing wrong with that...

24 days isn't a concession, because that allows him ample time to juice-up.

you cant agree to take an olympic style drug test, then back track and try to control the testing.

thats all well and good, but he was very insistent that fines should be impossed for being overweight, which were accepted.

the difference is that floyd had been overweight by a few pounds in his last fight (a catchweight), but there is no

against pac using PED's to base the purpose of extra testing being done, unlike mosley

If Pacquiao had principles he would be all for more PED testing in boxing.

he wants to hold his ground out of principle...

but he also wants the fight THAT BAD. at the end of the day u can say he wants it bad cause of the money, cause he wants to beat floyd's ass, or cause he wants to make fans happy, regardless of the reason thats why he's trying to make concessions or he wouldve just said "F U" to floyd to start with.

Pacquiao ego + Floyd ego = something all the money or ethics in the world can't fight. I think they're both dicks but that the fight will get made anyway and this whole drug thing no matter how it turns out will be a memory the likes of Leonard's camp accusing Hearns camp of steroid use (or was it the other way around, I don't remember?) before their fight.

I agree! He is standing his ground on principle but you can tell he really wanted to make the fight happen. Even with Floyd trying to spread lies and accuasations to cause his repuation harm he still tried to accomodate the demands of Floyd given the nature of the demand.

Floyd is smart...anyone to say differently is only proof that Floyd has fooled you. Floyd spread accusations that were baseless...but it did help set up the Blood testing demands.

ANd the request is something that is seen as "GOOD" for the sport. So it placed Manny in a situation where I think Manny agrees that the stricter the testing the better....he just didn't like Floyd spreading the lies at the expense of his character.

So he struggled with giving in to Floyd who acted in a irresponsiable way with spreading the accusations vs sticking to not giving in to Floyd even though what Floyd was requesting actually ISN'T a bad thing overall.

It all comes down to how Floyd went about setting up the demands and trying to cast a shadow over Manny's hard work and accomplishments with the accusations. It was wrong!

Manny tried to meet Floyd half way but it didn't work out at the end of the day.

Manny is for more testing.....but he isn't for allowing individual athletes to dictate the demands.

I can see the case with mosley, because he actually was juicing, but pacquiao has never tested postive,so yea i agree with pacquiao not giving in to floyd like mosley did.
