Not a fan of the guy...(i don't hate him) , but a bit indifferent about his career. I did watch his fight against Lesnar and his latest one out of curiosity...Especially because i wanted to see Dos Santos in action...

With all that said....i think this fight should've been stopped in the first round. and don't give me "he's got a huge heart" bull****....Of course he does , but that's irrelevant...Just look at his ****ing face.

At one point , even Dos santos stopped punching him and waited for carwin to get up...the ref said nothing...the guy in his corner is a ****ing *******.

    "you're fine..."

    No he's not you ****.

I agree, just look at that first round vs the stoppage of Einemo, Carwin was turning away, Einemo still had something of a guard.

I think JDS thought it was going to get stopped so he carried on with those fairly weak hammer fist type shots, if hed known that herb dean was going to let him carry on he wouldve given himself a bit more space or put himself ina better position to actually get the fight stopped.

Far too many punches landed with carwin not intelligently defending himself. He has a solid chin but his brain was taking damage that shouldn't be allowed.

nah I think he was fine. Dos Santos was asking the ref to stop it cause he was getting tired himself. Once they wiped the blood off his face it didn't look so bad and also he fought OK the rest of the fight.

I used to watch MMA as a fan and dream of being one of those guys. I have truly been blessed with a rare opportunity. I have fought for the title twice and now I have been in one of those "wars" that I loved watching so much. You look at the legends of MMA and almost all of them have been through wars. Junior was the better fighter and he deserves all the accolades and the shot at the title.

I am home now in pretty bad shape but I am looking forward to getting back into the gym and improve on my technique. Thank you so much for all of your support and friendship.

Some of you guys should read a bit of history, specifically WW1 and WW2 historical novels and watch some war documentaries. Many eighteen year old boys lost fingers, suffered severe lacerations to face and body, ate crap that today's pampered dogs and cats would puke up for months at a time in combat situations. Many of them were ordered to attack machine gun nests and even tank enplacements head on when the chance of survival was pretty small. They saw their buddies blown to bits, decapitated and disfigured on a routine basis. Hell, when all seemed safe at the tail end of WW2 on the crumbling german front, the Germans counterattacked in the battle of the bulge and 30,000 allied soldiers were ground into dust in just a few short days. So, Shane should have his fight stopped because he had some facial cuts? No, he sucked it up and fought on as best as he knew how and God love him for it.

Reminded me of Coleman vs Fedor II. He even looked like old Coleman for some reason.

    what a warrior.

when the doc said he was fine, i thought 'can you not see the skin hanging from his eyes'. his vision might have been fine but the damage was severe.

    he showed incredible heart.
