I admit that all the Loma hype confuses me an is annoying

The resume is good. It's good, but people act like he's lining up ATG's and chopping them down like trees.

He's beaten guys like Russell Jr., Walters, Linares, Sosa, Marriaga. These are some good fighters, nothing super special. The problem for Loma is nobody from 126-135 besides Garcia is elite level and I think Garcia is overrated anyways. So he may not have the opposition to do it against.

I don't rate the Rigo win. Too old and too small.

Also I want to see him beat a pressure fighter. He lost to Salido which I give a pass for because it was his 2nd fight. But let's see how he handles a solid pressure fighter. He lacks power I want to see if he can handle the pressure. So let's see it happen.

Also, you would think that he's been knocking out legends with his hype. Remember when Pacquiao stopped Barrera in 2003? He barely even cracked the p4p lists after that. What if Loma stopped a 29 year old Barrera? He'd shoot up to #1 p4p before you could blink. Sheeeeeiiitttt, if Loma stopped that version of MAB he'd been called the 2nd coming of the Messiah. Like Jesus in the flesh.

So Loma is talented and a great fighter and all, but for the love of God the media please just calm down. I can't tune into a Loma fight anymore without everybody losing their minds over everything he does. Sometimes I feel like I want to mute the commentary.

I don't think what Lomachenko has done so far as far as resume, accomplishments go is overrated because all those things are VERY impressive. He gets overrated sometimes on h2h basis I feel though, not at 126-130 but 135 up. Trust me, he'll be struggling with a lot of fighters in these weight classes.

Happens often, people get overly excited, hype the guy up to be a god and then when he shows he's human, well into the trash heap you go.

His resume is definitely overrated. By the way people hype him you'd think he beat a bunch of SRL level talent he hasn't even beaten a Cotto level talent.

I agree with pretty much everything you said. I have him p4p #2 behind Crawford, but I know people on here knowledgeable boxing people like PimpC who have him #1 p4p. The fans of Loma including myself do need to take a chill pill on the hype that's true. But the haters like Ellerbe, need to chill out on the hate and trolling of Lomachenko and his fans also.

Well I've been watching boxing 13 years. and he's the most special and gifted fighter I've seen coming up. I can understand the excitement.

Dude I have serious doubts that he could even beat a Lightweight Shawn Porter clone. He's really good and all, but not fully proven.

Salido is a massive pressure fighter and Loma had him on shaky legs by the end of the fight. I don't know why you think losing a fight due to pacing in your first 12 round fight has anything to do with being vulnerable to pressure fighters but I'm not seeing it.

2. He never redeemed that loss.

3. He's never beaten a top pressure fighter.

4. He doesn't have power which is a pressure fighter's kryptonite.

Funny how you could only name "one" Loma hater. But I give you props for admitting that you and other Loma dickriders need to chill. I wouldn't even consider myself a Loma hater. I think he's a great talent, admitted this a million times. He's just so overrated.

I feel you were being objective, I did say I agreed with your post. His wins over Russell, Rigo & Linares were very impressive. To be fair, there is not a fighter alive today anywhere close to Sweet Pete, and he can only fight and beat what's available today.
