I'm like Floyd, After watching GGG last 2 fights yesterday. I'm trying to see were the hype is coming from? I see a great puncher, but not that much skill. He is a one street fighter nothing special. He comes forward and tries to knock you out.No foot work..he's slow as hell...pretty decent jab...no head movement... I think because he is HOT right now everybody is riding the train. Canelo has much better skills than GGG.If Canelo don't get KO, he will win a UD over GGG.
I dunno man. Imo, I don't think we've seen everything that GGG can do. I remember people were saying that GGG had no jab in his ****nal but it turned out he had a pretty good one and used it on Lemieux. I'd imagine a more skilled and complete opponent could bring out more out of GGG and what he can do. It's just that many of his opponents haven't really tested what skills he has.
ok...well ill tell ya what....when ggg fights andre ward then well hold Floyd to fighting ggg...sounds fair? ok
If they were the same size Floyd wins, but their not. There is a reason we have weight classes, ask khan about it. I have no issue with GGG, but all the let's get mayweather vs GGG was always hog wash. Why not have GGG move up to fight Sergey kovalev, no one talks that.
So moving through five weight classes all the while being undefeated fighting until you're 38 isn't daring to be great? But ggg at 34 with no one of note on his resume and not moving up once to fight ward is?? Ggg fans have double standards one guy has to move up time and time again to dare to be great but the other doesn't. Thanks for exposing yourself. Sent from my SM-G925T using Tapatalk
Look, I'm not saying the five weight class thing is not impressive, but it is common for a young adult who turned pro in his teens to naturally grow into higher weight classes. Willie Pastrano turned pro as a teenager as a modern Bantamweight and ultimately won the lineal light heavyweight title from a hall of fame fighter. That is success at 11 divisions. Just saying, of course.
If it was that common or easy to be lineal at 4 weights and a title holder in another then everyone would do it. It's not its difficult. Sent from my SM-G925T using Tapatalk
That's irrelevant. A weak argument. Pbf very well may think he's the best ever he certainly has a right to that claim just as anyone else does. It has nothing to do with him daring to be great and held to a different standard while ggg can stay at one weight with no one of note and not be expected to do the same. Irrelevant. How many that turn pro as a teenager are lineal at 4 weights and win a title in another? The very definition of daring to be great. Sent from my SM-G925T using Tapatalk
