I agree with James Toney RE:Tyson

Its not that easy son, and it was not some wild no technique swinging, it was all very well trained and i think Tyson beats him.

 

LOL Toney's an all time fave of mine but he would definetly get slaughtered by Tyson. Unless were talking post prison Tyson then it could be close but Tyson still edges it until about 2000

 

A prime Tyson would have destroyed a fat heavyweight Toney. Toney was an obese middleweight when he was fighting the big boys.

James could not lay on the ropes like he does with Mike. Mike would just hit the body and I think stop him on body punches. James is not mobile enough or hits hard enough to keep Mike off of him. The Spinks fight shows pretty much what would happen.

 

Tyson would obliterate Toney.

 

I love JT, but sorry. Tyson stops or badly beats him.

JT's defense requires/relies on lots of head hunting. Thing is that due to his height Tyson was never a head hunter. He worked VICIOUS low high combos. Those body shots created huge openings. Negating a lot of JT's "stay in place" defense. Not even to mention prime Tyson's quick shifts from his amazing footwork.

I just can't see JT with enough punch output to discourage or stop Iron Mike. JT is as tough as nails so might survive, but he would get beaten up bad. Longer the fight goes though he might win a few late rounds. If he survives.

 

The guy who lost to Sam Peter twice at heavy is going to beat a prime Tyson ? How long have you followed the sport Toney's best weight was super middle ..Tyson obliterated one of the best light heavies of all time in under a minute yet he will lose to Toney atsch

 

JT would be game, but he'd get possibly kod by an uppercut. It'd be a repeat of Rj vs Toney only at HW, but with worse results for Toney.
