does the state pay armature boxers in India? I know they have really been trying to push Olympic boxing in india...and they have some decent fighters now....do they pay their ams to not go pro,, or do they just not allow pro shows?

The fee will be taken out of the fighters purse. The boxing org's also charge the promoter with all kinds of sanctioning fee's.

They do not pay amatures anything. Atmost state can give rewards on national medals, but not every state gives reward. On national they give little money on winning fights, only recently this was started. I am a amature boxer (best said, was one) .

If a fight gets pulled or postponed is there some sort of insurance to pay for all the training expenses incurred?

The promoter insures himself against loss, in case of postponement, cancelation or natural disaster. The fighter can go to the promoter and ask for reimbursement, it depends on the deal the fighter made.
