Chavez has to pay a fine of 30% of his fight purse [$900,000 of $3,000,000] not sure if he has a tax number if not, the taxman will also grab 30% for US taxes, if so then Lil Julio will lay out $1.8 million minus what he pays Freddie 10%, 3%($90k) to Alex Ariza, and at least 5% for his manager.

Really it depends, both are highly selective, it has been my experience that Top Rank pays better and brings you along at the fighters pace, goldenboy on the other hand brings you to a certain point and then it's sink or swim time. Victor Ortiz found that out first hand. Adrian Broner, had his scare with Ponce DeLeon.
Also Top Rank has way more experience in building and working with great fighters.

 

GBP has over 60 fighters on their roster
TR has about 50 fighters

Both have young up and comers and time will tell if any will make it. About the feud between GBP n TR, it's all smoke and mirrors. Like the GBP grandstand play offering Donaire or TR 3 million. Mares contract with GBP is about to expire, so they made a great media play, "You see GB wants to make this fight happen". One thing GBP forgot to mention, Donaire has a promoter who is quite capable of promoting the fight. Donaire is the name or the "A" side, Mares couldn't headline a major PPV or demand big money. Why should TR, give up their rights, the Pac and Mayweather fight didn't happen cos Mayweather and GB kept making demands, Mayweather many now believe didn't really want to fight Pac.
Look it's really simple the "A" side rules especially if they are attracting big numbers. GBP wants to be the lead promoter and expects TR to sit back while they control the show, using TR fighters that is not going to happen.

 

Andre Berto, was getting paid very well, when he couldn't fill up the couch in his house. HBO is into trying to build stars, they thought they had something in Berto thats why they overpaid to have an exclusive right to use him, the same thing with Mayweather they were really paying him to use him exclusively. Berto flopped but Mayweather proved to be a cash cow for HBO, It's a toss of the dice really. Broner, will get paid cos he drew big viewer numbers. It's all in the numbers.
