    Ok,that is great advise!
..ill start at one of the competitive boxing gyms, just to test the waters..and i think eventually move to L.A
..do you know of any good boxing trainers or managers in my area you might recommend?
    ..also,
..since exercise and changing bodies is another passion of mine..
Do you think its possible to be a great trainer/s&c guy?..or would it be better just to specialize in only one thing ?

P, Don't know anybody where you are at. There's a saying, 'Jack of all trades, master of none. Not saying it cant be done, trainer/S&C. I believe you are one or the other. To be really good at something you have to set your mind on that one thing. All trainers know how more or less to condition a fighter.
Try both and see what works for you, coach or S&C guy?

    Great!..thnks
I think training would be my thing, since ive always loved boxing..and enjoy teaching.
..in regards to finding talent..have you had to travel (say to Mexico) ..or out of state to chk out talent ?..is that idvisable?
How do you find talent?..or do fighters/trainers go to you?...
(ive always thought theres great fighters training day in day out in small unknown gyms waiting to be discovered)..
I think there are many potential champions out there..a guy shows you hes got the passion & heart for the sport..you give him the tools...and things start to happen.

Guys came across and found it interesting.
Following his first professional bout with Tunney Hunsaker,
Cassius Marcellus Clay, Jr. signed an exclusive 6-year contract with
    '11' influential Louisville businessmen.

    Deal signed October 1960.

    A $10,000 signing bonus.
    $4000 / Year salary ($333/Month for 2-years) 1961/1962
    $6000 / Year salary ($500/Month for 4-years) 1963 thru 1967

All training expenses, including equipment and trainers salary, and sparring partners.
Rent costs for a Miami Beach house.
50/50 Split on all Fight purses.

The 'syndicate' has 5 consecutive 1-year options on the contract, which they can excercise.
The contract was modified, so Muhammad Ali was to get 60% of the fight purse, and
    40% for LSG.
As of 1963, LSG was still in the 'red, and were down $45,000 from their investment.
They did buy Cassius Clay a new pink Cadillac as a bonus
The Cassius Clay team consisted of '2' people.
Cassius Clay Jr, and his father.

His only other offer, came from a local businessman, who offered him $75 / Week
salary, plus 50% of the fight purses.

I think the big hook with the 'LSG' team, they bought Cassius Clay's father a
    new Cadillac.

Been reading a new book on Ali from my local library.

The Ali Files tbh not a lot of material that has not been covered before. The fights broken down individually in short form and tells what happened to all his opponents after career wise etc...some interesting bits & pieces.

What it throws up is all his purses the writer his uk publicist. His purses I knew up to 1975 and has been covered many pages ago in his thread. There are many reading this that enjoy the business end of management and numbers so here you are. Some listed are different for example some sources have Ali earning $6m for the last of his trilogy v Frazier.Anyway here you go.
    $4.5 m v Frazier 1975
    $1m v Jean-Pierre Coopman 1976
    $1.6m v Jimmy Young
    $1.6m v Richard Dunn
    $6m v Ken Norton
    $2.75m v Alfredo Evangelista 1977
    $3m v Earnie Shavers
    $3.5m v Leon Spinks 1978
    $3.5m v Leon Spinks rematch
    $8m v Larry Holmes 1980
    $1.2m v Trevor Berbick 1981

Oh well everyone got their breath back after last weeks big fight?

'For the fans fight' many years too late.It was a fight about numbers five years ago they may of been looking at a $50m fight.

Of course last week many times those revenue numbers which are still being calculated who knows the exact figure $300m plus all told? The casual fan can now go back and find the latest bandwagon to jump on.

Would never call myself a MM fan,can take him or leave him....you see a great fighter but never in great fights whether you like it or not stylistically. To those paying to see him lose PPV and boo ringside?A fool and his money are soon parted.

On the "fight of the century", If Manny's injury was that bad he wouldn't have been able to use his right hand. If you want to see what a fighter with a shoulder injury that Manny supposedly had check out the Erick Morales vs Jesus Chavez fight. Chavez injured his right shoulder in the 2nd round, after that his right hand was useless. He fought Erick with only his left hand for ten rounds. Manny on the other hand was throwing both hands, makes you wonder.

If you go into a fight with any minor injury don't whinge about it afterwards when you lose,if it worsens that is the chance you take.Going into a fight with 'the best camp I ever had' and then talking about an injury afterwards?

David Haye...broken toe after the Klitschko fight?Sometimes you have to leave things be it does no favours PPV fight here in Europe both got big coin off it,the fans feel shortchanged. It's done.

Jesus Chavez a warrior on all nights,Dempsey,Morales wanted no part of a rematch tells it's own story?

British HW fight you all may want to see regarding shoulder injuries,Danny Williams v Mark Potter just check that famous search engine 6th round worth a look guys.

If you are able, go to a country that has fighters weighing 52kilos. Best places to me are in Japan and Mexico for your weight. I had a guy at your weight in the US and fights were hard to come by, and he was an excellent fighter, his name is Raul"Cobrita" Martinez, check him out on youtube. We had to fight a few times in Mexico cos there were few opponents in the US. Keep me posted, Good luck to you.
