I am a Cotto fan and a Pac fan - after last night, Manny would beat Miguel.

First off, congratulations to Miguel Cotto on a very gutsy, very courageous, and just about deserved win.

However, after seeing the way the fight went last night, I am now convinced that Manny Pacquiao could create history by becoming a 7-weight world champion by beating Miguel.

Miguel showed some good skills last night, but yet again he was simply too easy to hit. He actually made Clottey look like a fighter with a great defence, which we all know he isn't, as Clottey was catching Miguel cleanly to the head whereas a high percentage of Miguel's shot were being blocked.

Like Ricky Hatton learned, you cannot take too many clean shots from Pacquiao.

Miguel is an excellent welterweight, but if he and Manny fight I see Manny forcing a referee stoppage in the mid-late rounds because Miguel will not be able to stop Pac's relentless lightning-quick punches from scoring again and again, and Pac's movement is too good to allow him to be backed up onto the ropes by Cotto.

Miguel - congrats again, but I think Manny would be the first man to defeat you fairly.

I like Manny's chances if He shows up against Cotto, same movements on the Delahoya fight.

at 147, He needs those excellent footings to throw Miguel off balance and unleash his combinations on angles.

    Cotto is a live dog.

    damn
all of you have pacquiao as a GOD since he defeated an old ended DLH and an overrated hatton?
the guy is good, i admit he has the skills, speed, agility, boxing, power, defense, chin, (dont get me as an ignorant), he is a beast in any weight, but cmon Cotto is bigger, stronger and more technical.
    stop putting him like impossible.

The only way it proof Pacquiao would beat Cotto if Clottey style and the body frame is the same as Pacquiao correct? But Clottey style and body is no where near the same as Pacquiao. Was Cotto even a huge favorite to beat Clottey? Yes ? or no? If not then again it doesn't proof Manny would do the same.

Ok i'll give you an example, Trinidad destroyed Mayorga. <<<Is that mean Trinidad should done the same to Wright?

And Pacquiao style isn't the same as Clottey. People are overreating big time.

The stylistic issue has nothing to do with it.

Cotto's defence wasn't good against Clottey, wasn't good against Margarito, wasn't good in plenty other fights, and it wouldn't be enough to stop someone with Pacquiao's speed landing a lot of punches.

I thought last night we would see an improvement in Miguel's defence, because he should've learned lessons from the Margarito fight. But he still looked easy to hit. This would be his undoing v Pacquiao.

What? Really cant understand what u mean by body frame, lol. You want Pacquiao to go to a telephone booth like Superman and be like Clottey body to beat Cotto?

Let me ask you a simple question, have you seen alot of Clottey fights? If so then you would know easily that Clottey would make ANY FIGHTERS LOOK BAD. Good that you mention Margarito cause Margarito is not only a prove chin at this weight, he's also a way bigger fighter that is 3 inch taller then Cotto. <<<<<Again another different styles. Let me ask you this, would Pacquiao beat Clottey better then Cotto did? If not then your arguement don't proof a damn thing that Pacquiao will beat Cotto.

Bigger fighter is mostly mean of the body frame size. Pacquiao size in body and height is no where near Clottey and Pacquiao style is way different then Clottey.

Pacquiao and Mayweather would beat Cotto pretty easy on last nights performance!

i just hope that the cut was the reason he was so easy to hit, and the reason a lot of his flurries missed (punching just to relieve pressure)

i`m holding onto this cut thing, just hoping that he would be a lot better without it against a fighter like Clottey (defense good and quick, accurate punches)

Clottey makes any fighters look bad cause of his style. Margarito didn't look good vs Clottey when he won a close win.

    Im surpised you knew it.

Style makes fight. Doesnt mean Clottey cant beat Cotto Pac cant beat Cotto.

Otherwise, Mosley cant beat Margarito, Margarito cant beat Cotto and Cotto cant beat Mosley.
