My two cents...never hated the man for his skillz...unless you are not a boxing fan,you have to aknowledge the man's skillz set...may not be the most exciting,but he's up there skill-for-skill...

Just hated him like Roy Jones....for the fights that never happened...his fault or not.Floyd,like Roy,seemed to be picking on the fights he knew he could win...That's the reason most boxing fans will always love guys like Duran,Hearns etc..These cats stepped up when they needed to...regardless of whether they were underdogs whatever...That's what inspires folks like us..

But you gotta give hime props for this one...old or not,Shane is a hell of a challenge.Floyd's gonna have to be on his A+ game...cause if he loses concentration for a minute,Shane could KO him..he punches that hard,and he's that fast with his hands.

I don't think that was the case. Ellerbe said last week that an announcement would come this week and it did. The promotion doesn't start until this weekend anyway. I think Floyd was just being maticulous and was reading the contract carefully. I don't think he anticipated the reaction he got for not signing right away.
