I never EVER said that I thought Byrd would beat Wladimir. I predicted that he would change his styke and do better the second time but I never said he would beat him and I NEVER expect Byrd to try to become Brewster. So you CAN IT!!!!
Nope... that's not me. I am a very fair Peter fan. :yep He will need to be is MUCH better shape against Wlad. If he is, at 235 or so... he definitely has a shot. The combination of Wlad having such a weak chin and that he hasn't been hit in almost 3 years makes him extremely beatable in my opinion. I don't know much about Haye but if he gains 30 pounds, keeps his speed and has any type of chin, he would absolutely be trouble for Wlad as well.
He needs to work on his weight, but I thought defensively he was improved and even worked the bob 'n' weave a bit, making Maskaev throw and miss. And he also uses the jab a lot more than he ever used to. That's something that he's done as a direct result of Toney II, where it worked so well. He was throwing more jabs a round against Maskaev than Wlad did against Sultan
You know what, you Peter fans are right. This guy has Tyson like power, his chin is like Mccall, he has the handspeed of Holyfield, the skills of Lennox Lewis. Peter looked so quick, and he wasn't throwing wide looping punches. His power looked devastating hitting the glass of Maskaev's chin. His indestructable chin wasn't hurt the one time he was really hit solid in the 3rd.
What was manny impressed with ? A fat fcker becoming HW belt holder ? Nothing very impressive in the ring. The fcker was being dirty again with shots to the back of the head.
