Why are people forgetting the first set of negotiations when they had a deal and Stevenson ran and went to Showtime? :huh

They both chose a network over a fight fans wanted to see. They're either both ducks or neither.

Well that was my point but nobody had mentioned that. They were just talking about Kovalev and Duva.

Compare who Kovalev has been fighting to who Stevenson has been fighting. It is a laughable comparison. Kovalev has been fighting the tougher fights.

The difference is everyone ripped Stevenson apart for jumping networks to make more money while people excuse and even applaud Kovalev in all likelihood making less money out of "network loyalty." Duva spent most of 2014 ripping Stevenson for not doing right by the fans then ran from the very same fight.

No they refused to engage in purse bids because he has an exclusive contract with HBO. HBO, Duva, Kovalev wanted the fight Stevenson ran off to Showtime and Haymon like a coward.

Kovalev was a network free agent at the time of the purse bid he ducked. Try again.

As I recall, the deal allowed Stevenson to have one fight before fighting Kavalev. It was not an immediate match. There was no guarantee that Stevenson would have his belt if he lost his match. Kovalev's team wanted the match sooner.

Neither Duva or Haymon/GYM made an offer to make the fight.

Duva is working on an HBO deal for Kovalev, and taking him off network for a fight with Stevenson might lower his potential deal with HBO.

Haymon has stated that his fighters would not be showcased on HBO and not to ask.

Hence.....a not so new, cold war.

Krusher would love to put the pimp down on all 4s.

But Haymon saving that cornhole for Beterbiev. :yep:yep:yep

No you aren't you clown... You hate EE fighters, and can't stop posting drivel about them. That seems to be your life purpose.

Yep! It's like Golovkin acting all diva like in recent weeks after him and his team whined and *****ed that Cotto, Canelo, and Floyd are divas. Instead of taking a stand on principle, GGG took a "if you can't beat'em, join'em" approach.

Duva should get the same benefit of the doubt when it comes to merely being "outmaneuvered" and not ducking as she herself urged fans to give to Stevenson when he too made a business decision under similar circumstances.

The word "duck" gets thrown around way too much.
