I am a Machida fan, not a Rua fan, but I had it 4-1 for Rua. Machida will win rematch

A strike to the head should only be worth more "points" if it does more damage. None of the punches, to my memory, that Machida threw did any damage at all to Shogun whereas Shoguns kicks did damage to machida. In a boxing or a kickboxing match if one fighter lands a few good slaps that do no damage and another fighter lands less but lands damaging blows the damaging fighter wins. Couple that with the fact that Rua landed more anyways...

This is MMA not point karate. Machida's strikes that seemed to do no damage should not be counted the same as Shogun's kicks which messed up Machida's body, took away his mobiliy, caused him to switch stances multiple times, caused noticable visual responses of pain from Machida, and caused Machida to have almost no offense in the 4th and 5th.

Shogun clearly won rounds 4 and 5. Machida clearly won the third.
Rounds 1 and 2 were damn close.

And Rogan was on Shogun's balls all night and that's why a lot of people thought Shogun won.

hell yea that's how i had it too. I was surprise when i heard 48-47 but i thought the ****** judges would still have it for the best LHW in the universe Mauricio shogun Rua. Shogun was robbed everybody know it. You can tell when they announce the winner the whole crowd booing and even the machida fans that was there in the sports bar where i was watching it thought he loss too.

Bottom line is Shogun was robbed. Those ****** judges needs to get banned from scoring a championship fight.
