Manny Pacquiao is a phenomenon, he has proven himself with the best competition of his contemporaries, just two weight classes and beat an old and slow ODLH, yet it was an accomplishment becuase the fact he disposed of ODLH..he is an icon in the Filipines..but the greatest Filipino fighters of all time he is not...not yet...

History has shown us that the Filipinos are very proud of their legacy in Boxing..but the greatest of all time is not Pacquiao, he has the cahnce one he is done but at this time he is not...

The top three ATG of Filipino Boxing:

    1. FLash Elorde

    2. Pancho Villa

    3. Manny Pacquiao

and if Doanire keep doing his amazing show of skills he will be on the top 10 list also..

The history of Filipino boxing is rich and proud and Elorde exemplified all they are and will be...Pancho Villa de first Filipino World Champ.......hard act to followed

Bull****. From what I heard, this Flash Elorde got no power and has heaps of losses right during his prime.

Pac will get his share of kindness from history when he hangs them up. 10 years from now, Pac will most probably be heads and shoulders the greatest asian fighter.

Patsys is right. Pac has already overtaken Elorde and Pancho by virtue of his being recognized as the top P4P fighter which no Asian has ever accomplished. He is also a champion in 4 weight division and soon 5 if he wins against Hatton. No Filipino nor an Asian has accomplished that feat. Elorder failed to win the lightweight crown twice against Carlos Oritiz while Pac is now vying for the light welterweight crown.

Elorde was great, But Villa was the greatest of them too bad he died on a young age. We will never know what could he accomplished more...

If you make a survey among the boxing pundits, locally and internationally, they will choose Pac because of what he achieved and still achieving.

No way Elorde ranked ahead of Pac...Pac would have destroyed him...Pancho Villa has great wins especially against Jimmy "The Mighty Atom" Wilde but i still not rank him above Pac...

Pancho Villa should of been the greatest Filipino fighter of all time. Had he not died at 24, I have absolute no doubt he would of greater than Pacquiao.
