Looks like Peter is going to join Lewis, Johnson, Sanders, and Williams and come in against Dr. Vitali Klitschko at or near a career high in weight. This is hilarious. :rofl

There is no excuse(s) as Vitali can't train for them. :patsch

As you can clearly see in the Klitschko vs Povetkin thread I am not one of your "Klit-ites" but I have to ask, how mad will you be if Klitschko stops Peter?

The harder you laugh now, the more it will sting later.

You mean when Peter comes in looking like Kirk Johnson's long lost twin brother and gets KOed in 2 or 3 rounds? :rofl  :patsch

I'll give him his props...but I think it's bad for boxing, because he's already proven he's the furthest thing from a fighting champion we can ever have.

It will be a good victory for him, his best...but he would go on to be a sh*t champion, which I'd be far more upset about than Peter taking an L...

He needs to come in like he did against Wladimir or Toney in the rematch, if he comes in like he did against McCline or Toney(first fight) then he's going to get KO'd early.

It's still too early to judge, the same thing was said about him judging from clips and pictures before his rematch with Toney till a week before the fight and he all of a sudden comes in perfect shape. Let's be patient, being a fan of Peter I just can't see him take this one lightly especially when this is the older brother of a guy that already beat him and he seeks revenge from.

He doesn't look so bad in that vid.

But he's going to need his stamina, or Vitali may take him out in the late rounds.

    Thanks Scar.

Just watched it. Unfortunately he does look in an awful shape. Hopefully, he'll lose some weight during this month.

"Learned how to fight hurt" or do you mean got lucky he was not in there who has even a slight killer instinct. Yes Peter has improved a fair bit. But his performance against Mcline was a lesson of what not to do when hurt. I consider him very fortunate he was able to survive for the points win. IMO it is very clear the hype on Peter was wishful thinking at very best. His chin is not near as solid as some were making it out to be. I rank it no better than average. His power has yet to be delivered on even a second tier fighter. The fact Maskaev was never off his feet is testament of that. But he is faster than most believe. He has good hand speed for a man his size.

Not even the most rabid Klitchko nuthugger has the slightest ideal what we are going to get when Vitalli returns. IMO he will have to be close to what he was before to dispatch Peter. But clearly he looked better even in his losses than Peter has to date. I expect a decent fight. Neither man will lay down without a good effort. If the weight of Peter is excessive it will not serve him well. klithcko goes 12 at a good pace a fat Peter will not keep up. IMO Vitalli wins by knockout. Peter is just too easy to hit with power shots.

    My pleasure man.

Yeah, I hope he does and will be expecting him to. He looked far worse only one month before his rematch with Toney, and weeks later he looked in awesome shape. We will have to wait. :good

No matter what happens I do not expect Peter to box for much longer. He seems to be having trouble getting below 250, he should be closer to 240, and seems to be at a point where he is putting on a lot of weight between bouts. Peter has made decent money, so I could see him out of the game in two years time.
