Zab continues to lose, I've no doubt he has some talent. I neither hate him or like him. I think he should drop down the weights he has done far more better at a lower weight..
I dont like him much neither ive never quite got what people saw in him to say he has the talent to be the best fighter in the world. He doesnt all he has in great handspeed and a bit of good punching power after that its easy to point out his flaws like his mental toughess, inablity to adjust, his lazy jab,his 4 round stamina, his chin, his defense is pathetic, his feet are quick but like a man like Manny Pacquiao although they are fast the footwork sucks they have shitty balance and the feet get crossed up alot,he tenses up to much when he lets him combos go instead of relaxing, his combos only appear for the 1st few rounds then he just goes into trying to land a left uppercut mode.
i neither love him nor despise him... but the question is, why the hell is he still getting undeserved title shots even if he has been on a losing streak lately?
Judah is still a very good fighter and showed some interesting things against Clottey but can't sustain a good game plan for 12 rounds.
Zab actually did better than I expected him to do against Clottey but as I predicted, he found a way to lose. He just doesn't take the chances that a fighter needs to take to win and that's probably due to a fragile mental state. He's the epitome of the "hit but don't get hit" philosophy. Problem is that in boxing you're gonna get hit and Zab just doesn't deal with that well. He's got the talent to fire off quick combinations and show some nice defense but not the willingness to land the real meaningful blows cuz it appears he's trying to get out of danger just as quickly as he's trying to get his punches off. He's also a shopworn fighter now and alot of that has to do with what Cotto did to him. Zab's career highlight will always be the Spinks fight for the title and as Carlos Baldomir showed us the following year, glory in boxing can be fleeting. I still like Judah and would like to see him get one more win against a notable fighter but I'm not counting on it.
It's not even the 12 round thing cuz for all intents and purposes, Judah usually stops fighting around the 8th or 9th round. He just kind of closes up shop and throws a jab here and there. That's not a stmaina issue, that's just a swing in momentum that Judah doesn't adjust to.
Judahs came in at 143 for the Clottey fight, when Clottey comes in routinely at 158+... not very smart. He should move down to jr. ww
