    Nallege a Jab and defense is not going to get it done the first five rounds, I am sorry but that IMO is the worse thing he could do is just try to get past the first five, I say he needs to box and work the body here and there the first five rounds, but also must crack pac when its there to gain some respect.....

    if he comes out and trys to pot shot and survive Pac will step on the gas and take him out.

    Your a former world champion you should know better..

    You might think it is the worst thing, but that is why we are all different in our opinion. Being aggressive behind a jab, and using defense early in a fight is how many guys survive an aggressive boxer or pure boxers onslaught. Nobody mentioned 'pot shot' or 'survive' because that isn't Cotto's style.

    I suggest he come behind a stiff snapping jab and hooks off of it to the body and head every now and then, IMO he has to get in some good body work early to be effective late which is Cottos style he will get off to the body, if he gets past the 4th round he will take over the fight.

    I beleive Mannys best shot at winning is in the first three rounds... Call me crazy but I just dont think he can put out the same performance against a full fledged weleter weight who can bang... He is going to fade..

    I dont think Cotto fans will side with him though, seeing how obvious his hate is.

    Cotto fans probably hate PBF more than Pac.

    Cotto is going to have to make 143, and if he does, this will hurt him as you don't come down to 143 the last night before the weigh in. You get there a couple of days before which means he may go up and down that last week. This is not two pounds of fat, this is two pounds of muscle Cotto will have to lose. As far as your strategy...Cotto won't be able to go to Pac's body early unless Cotto just comes running in recklessly. Pac moves around the ring, and times you with the big left-right hook, or just the right hook so your strategy is shot to hell...no offense.

    It's a good jab, and a damaging one. Cotto is left-hand dominant even though he fights orthodox. I think he will box for the first half of the fight.

    He should not even think about over-powering Pac and take the risk of getting caught. The power will be there. I think he should box and make Pac come to him, then as you suggest, open it up later in the fight.

    He can definitely draw Pac in. Pacquiao can follow a gameplan, but I don't see the ability to adjust in him. If what he does is not working early, Cotto wins. Pac will start getting into old habits such as reaching and getting off balance if Cotto frustrated him early with his better boxing ability.

    And yes, the bandwagon Pac fans are ridiculous. I don't mind actual *******s at all compared to bandwagon Pac fans like Bladerunner, Psycho, ect.

    Of course, if Cotto wins, we will know he was too "big" all along. At least we will here that!:lol:

    We know the real reason Roach chose Cotto over Mosley. If it backfires on him, I won't feel bad, cause he has been banking on things like that lately and he knows. He's said so himself.
