Remember the JMM tune up debacle? It was scheduled for July and moved to September. That could happen again and messing up the November date.

It's much better if Floyd doesn't take a tune up. Let him hire guys to bang him up in the gym instead.

that's actually exactly how u get a fight started in boxing.
how did pascal get a fight w/ bhop?
have u ever seen a post fight interview. The entire point of the whole thing is to call out your next opponent.

    at this nonsense.

It's simply to build hype for a fight. A fight is made through contracts and negotiations. Big fights are worth millions of dollars and you have lawyers and agents going through a lot of details to make a fight, this is big business, not a fight on the schoolyard.

Any fool can "call-out" anyone. It doesn't mean **** without the business end of the sport. Pascal got the fight with Hopkins because he was the champ at 175, and the right type of opponent for B-Hop. Dawson verbally expressed his desire to fight Hopkins numerous times, but he has more of a style to trouble Hopkins, and Hopkins didn't care much to fight him. However, he did fight Pascal.

Pryor used to practically stalk Leonard and verbally challenged him. What happened when Leonard offered him a career high payday? Pryor balked because he wanted more money.

People were saying "oh Hatton got the fight with Mayweather because he insulted him in the interview". Uhh, no, Ricky's dad even said that the teams had been negotiating the fight for over a year until it finally materialized.

Cotto and Pacquiao usually give the boring old "I'll fight who my promoters and managers tell me to". Look at how many names they've fought in the last few years.

Floyd has been fighting at Welterweight for years now yet he conveniently has yet to face Cotto, Margarito, Clottey and Manny and picks the oldest fighter out of the ring for a year and a half and before that takes JMM from 135 to 147. he is not serious about fighting any real threats. Why would he fight Manny if he is not gonna fight Cotto, Clottey and Margarito ? he only stopped Hatton who had one prior WW bout. He lost a step and has no power at WW. Only will fight Manny if he is desperate for $.

He is not ducking Clottey. it is just strange he won't face Cotto or Manny who beat common opponents much more handily. Clottey is a very tough WW test for any fighter on any level. You look at his WW resume and that is where the backlash comes from especially from the mainstream fans.
They can say he is ducking Pac because he has no track record of fighting the best in recent years.

Floyd was praying the flat footed hype job would pull of a miracle. Would have been the easiest fight of Floyd's career. Berto could be the most tailor made fighter of all time for Floyd. Instead Berto fighting on his heels got laced with over 200 power shots.

Well if Mosley wasn't the best, who was. Wasn't he considered "The Man" at welterweight and didn't people say Floyd was ducking him.
Matter fact wasn't Msoley number 3 p4p and number 1 welterwight when Floyd faught him?

Who was better than that? Except the guy who walked away from negotiations to fight Clottey
