This tune up **** is BS. He chose to go on vacation and not fight. SRL came back to fight Marvin Hagler without a tuneup. And he was inactive for like 3 years prior.

Mayweather is a ***** if he does not attempt to get a fight done with Manny after May 7th.

Floyd is so good, he will box in circles with minimal effort if he fights Ortiz.

Schaefer names Mayweather and Aydin as possibles for Ortiz

“Vicious” could face “Money” or mandatory

New WBC welterweight champion Victor Ortiz could be set for a money-spinning bout with Floyd “Money” Mayweather in the future after Golden Boy CEO Richard Schaefer put the four-weight world titleholder’s name forward, along with number one contender Selcuk Aydin.

The 24 year-old, who took the title from the previously unbeaten Andre Berto last week, has a queue of fighters lining up for a shot as his title and has been linked with numerous bouts in the seven days since he shocked the Foxwoods Resort crowd to win his first world title.

The names of Manny Pacquaio, Amir Khan and Kell Brook have already been banded around and now Richard Schaefer has thrown his hat into the ring by announcing a fight with Floyd Mayweather could be one of the Oxnard southpaw’s future options.

"Is Mayweather the better boxer than Victor? Yes," Schaefer said. "But is Victor younger and stronger and bigger than Mayweather? Yes. Can he hurt Mayweather? Yes,” Schaefer told ESPN.

“Mayweather is pound-for-pound the best, right there with Pacquiao, but he hasn't fought for a year. I think a lot of people would give Victor a chance if that fight happened."

Ortiz (29-2-2, 22 KO’s) may be forced to fight Selcuk Aydin in his first defence in the autumn (fall), as the Turkish fighter has been patiently waiting his chance since winning his eliminator in July 2009. “Vicious” has announced though, that he won’t back going back down to light-welterweight.

"There are a lot of great fighters at 147," Ortiz said. "I'm completely done with 140. I'm going to take a vacation and then shoot for the big names. I don't make a hell of a lot. Why not shoot for the big ones?"

Mosley was out of the ring for 16 months. Look at Mosley's record. He has at least 7 or more fights when out of the ring for 6 months or more. He has never scored a knockout at WW off a long layoff. (Perfect for Floyd always good to face the older less powerful version of Shane)

Even giving him credit for Mosley how does the man that calls himself the greatest ever not face Cotto ? Cotto beat Shane, knocked out Zab and Corrley ??

Hatton and JMM had combined 12 TOTAL ROUNDS of experience at WW before fighting Mayweather.

But he has a loss. I thought Void didn't have time for people with KO losses? It makes sense, a fighter who has shown he is mentally weak in the past and beats an overrated hypejob despite being dropped pretty heavily twice whilst beating him. :rasta
