I am calling for a truce between PR and Mexico.......

I had respect for both Cotto and Marg. I was going for cotto but it really was Margo's night. But in time I think, honestly, that Cotto will learn from this and become a better fighter. In the mean time , i'm curious to see if Margo takes a rematch with williams.

 

Coto was more of a pure type of boxer he was going after the toughest fights unlike Floyd

Cotto put it all on the line that takes balls and Cotto will be back these types of fights cold realy make a boxer better I think he would realy give Floyd hell

Margarito jsut needed that 1 shot and Cotto was man enough to give it to him

I agree with you 100% on the post. But I dont think it will change anything as long as we have certain elements on this board. Hopefully it will work itself out and all the racism will stop. As far as the fight went I look at it as a boxing fan, you know. Cotto lost fair and square, Margarito was the better man that night and end of story. Bring on the next fight you know. The rivarly between PR and Mexico is probably the biggest out there right now you know. :good

Cotto straight up told Margo that he had to wait in line after the Mosley fight. The only reason this fight happened was because Cotto's promoter backed him into a corner. Cotto, despite saying he fights who his promoter puts in front of him, went against Top Rank and tried to fight Oscar. After that fight fell through, he had no choice but to fight Margo. I still give him props. However, let's not act like he really wanted this fight or that he wouldn't have avoided it if it were feaseable.
