Danny Green was given no chance to even last the distance with Roy...One punched changed all that and now everyone said Jones is past it and should retire ( I agree ) but now everyone is saying Hopkins wins this fight it proves he was the better fighter........How does it prove anything?

Jones is way past his best and Hopkins winning proves that only Hopkins is better now...In their primes Roy won and it is as simple as that. I am not saying Jones is the overall better fighter but this fight means NOTHING at all.

Hopkins should have taken the Green match up for money and to see how he goes against a big powerful machine like Green......Oh well I guess Tarver looks like the man to suffer at the hands of Green now.

Should have taken the Green fight in Australia for huge money, however, I am still interested in Hopkins/Jones rematch for some reason.

we as true fans missed out on a true rjj/bhop fight. the first one was 15 years ago. bhop was not the same guy as what he was to become. bhop will be fighting a shell of his old adversary.

i grew up watching rjj and he is my favorite fighter but that is what it is. he turned his head into a sweeping right cross by green, which your not supposed to do, and got caught. the fight against hopkins will not be at cw and i think the fight will be more competitive than a lot of people think.

be that as it may, i'm not happy about this one bit. i understand hopkins wants this regardless just to settle old scores. hell they should just go into a dusty dark gym...no cameras...no fans...and just go at it...and who ever wins will be known by who emerges from the gym.

Yea, this fight means nothing. The only way this fight is a success is if these two actually put on a war. I can see it happening; this fight means so much to both men and both have great conditioning so they should be able to keep up a pace. I don't know if Roy's chin will hold up but it's Hopkins so he should be able to remain standing for the most part.
Watch this fight become legendary. For some reason it wouldn't surprise me but it'll probably be a stinker and Roy goes down from some mystery punch 2 rounds in.

Hopkins should almost be ashamed of himself come to think of it. He waits until Roy is completely washed up to get his revenge.

**** im serious...this needs to be some rocky/apollo type **** in some gym w/ no cameras...just the two of them. i'd pay just to see who emerges. i don't even care to see how it happens. just go handle ya'lls business and the winner can come out and claim victory.

This is pretty much about 2 guys, whose careers are winding down, simply getting a big payday. I don't blame them....... I don't have much interest in the fight, but hell, they've both given alot to boxing and both could've retired years ago. RJJ should've IMO.

It should be Green V B Hop....I guess RJJ and B Hop wining the warm up fights meant nothing in the end.

I, for one, would much rather see two ATGs like Hopkins and Jones square off in a long-awaited rematch, than a meaningless fight against never-was Danny Green.

the thing is...bhop could get a big payday...even bigger hell much bigger than a rjj fight.

as much as i love jones, this all went a lil like this...bhop tries to get a fight with the guy who stopped jones in 1 round...negotiations break down so bhop fights the guy green stopped in 1 round.

i would much rather see bhop fight bute. there is no reason why he can't. both guys are available. the other green and bika are fighting so what else does bute have to do? dawson is fighting pascal so what else does bhop have to do?

this is about bernard seething about rjj holding a UD from 15 years ago over his head. so in that regard, zackman is right. but this in no way settles any old scores. as far as both men are concerned prime for prime...we are left with a post fight interview when they jawed at eachother about who should get more $$ for fighting who. its a shame but thats the way its.

Stranger things have happened. I mean after RJJ got KO'ed by Tarver in the return fight, Roy goes out, and gets decapitated by Glen Johnson. AND YET they still had the Tarver trilogy (which ironically is the highest PPV buy rate bout of the three Tarver-Jones fights).
