To imply I'd finally see it would mean I'd have to choose that over better fights happening that same day that are more than one man's personal vendetta for revenge over a corpse.

I'd have loved to see this rematch even up to a couple years ago. Now, the thrill is gone for me. Roy's just too far past it.

This is hopkins oscar all over again.

Remember oscar losing to sturm and then they saved the fight by gifting him a decision?

BHop win means something. It means they can have a trilogy!

Let's get real about this... Green is a B fighter. Hopkins isn't ducking him, he just has NO reason to fight him. No big money on the table, no big addition to his legacy for beating him, nothing. There's just nothing there for him. I predict that Hops will take out RJJ, just for his own personal satisfaction, then he'll schedule a do or die fight with Dawson and probably call it a day if he loses. If he wins, who knows wtf he'll do. He probably has no idea himself.

Exactly. Jones just brings a lot more to the table, both in terms of money and legacy. And Green, as you say, brings nothing. Easy choice.

At this stage the fight means very little.

yeah but they'll still say 'Hopkins avenged his loss to Roy Jones in 2010' forty years from now.

Thing is Hopkins is 45 years old and Jones could eek out a decision. Either way the fight does not mean much. They were both beaten by Calzaghe recently.

As a Hopkins fan, Im dissappointed in him. fighting Jones at this point proves nothing. On the flipside Green isnt very good either, And beatting Jones doesnt mean much for him either. Keep in mind All great fighters that stay to long lose to a bum. Check it out...

Hopkins should be fighting someone other then either Jones or Green. Hopkins is still in everyones top 5 P4P and should be fighting other STILL elite fighters.
