People always exagerating. Kovalev didnt do **** past the 7th. Only one round that could have gone either way. It was a close fight. Deal with it and move on

Ever wonder why the crowd booed the decision? Kovalev had the knockdown, landed the more damaging blows, landed more..............................................no wonder the crowd booed. I agree with Harold Lederman, he had the fight 116 - 111 for Kovalev, even Roid Jones had Kovalev winnin.

 

If you can't give credit where it's due, GOOD RIDDANCE!

 

Kovalev got robbed. I thought fight was fairly competitive but when I step back and look at it. This was a big showcase night for the sport. And the man who was the champion, who landed more punches, much harder punches, scored the knockdown and came forward as the aggressor lost.
To a fighter who lets face it did a lot of grabbing and never had anything to trouble Kovalev.
I had it 7-5 plus a kd for Kovalev. I think that is a fair card. Could be 8-4 Kovalev or maybe 6-6. Which is still Kovalev with knockdown.
The fact all three judges had the same score is fishy.
Kovalev rocked Ward in round 1. Dropped him in round 2 and Ward held on for all of round 3. I can't see anyway to give the first 3 rounds to Ward.
So the judges are saying Ward won 7 of the last 9 rounds.
No way.

 

For winning! This was a close fight with a lot of close rounds that could have gone either way. Ward made adjustments and took advantage of Kovalev's inactivity as the fight went on. It is what it is. Blame Kovalev for not being more aggressive and letting Ward regroup after that knockdown.
