Yes, he did get counter jabbed there trying the bolo punch one too many times, but earlier in the fight he used it in a rhythm successfully. Ward really used some Roy Jones / SRL moves throughout the fight to great success.

 

this could have been boxings last stand I mean this was one of the best fights boxing could make and I'm hearing it was a total stinker

I ditched this "sport" financially years ago. I haven't bought a fight in ages. They only put on 3 or 4 great fights a year, and even those end in hometown decisions.

It's not a sport anymore - only a business to take as much money out of dumb people's pockets as possible.

I feel sorry for the idiots who paid their hard-earned money to watch Ward run and clinch all night, and then have the judges turn around and tell them that Ward was the winner.

 

You couldn't be any more wrong, I had a ton of casuals at the house and they simply loved the fight. It's all perspective, some thought SK won others thought Ward swept all the rounds after the 4th no one thought it was a robbery though they wanted a draw so there would be a rematch and they could raid my liquor again.
