I am fightin in a Toughman in Philly Need Advice

    Trust me, if he is not in shape and he is untrained the last thing he wants to do is throw combos. Throw only the power hand until you find out what your opponent has or does not have. Keep your weak hand upside your head. Very few tough men throw body shots. They head hunt with wide looping punches. Try to time his wide punches and throw straight right hands to the head and the body. Tough-man is a wild and furious affair and most fighters can only maintain a sustained attack for one and half rounds. To win you have to be able to hang passed the second round and still have enough left to hurt your opponent. Very few fighters are knocked out. Most just fall down from exhaustion. It amazes me how many of these guys sign up and they can not fight at all.

    Then my advice would be NOT doing it, getting yourself to a gym, and competing as a sanctioned amateur. That's the best way to do it if you want to take part in the sport.

    I agree-- this is a bad idea. Boxing is no joke, as Jeff Lacy's dad told him before he started his amateur career.
