These boxing promoters and businessmen are srewing up the sport. I bet schefer is one of the reasons the Floyd and Pac fight never happen. What a ***** move to walk away!
you do know that he and Haymon have all the fighters signed to them and not GBP, right?? the only fighter Oscar has is Canelo. the same problems are going to exist between TR and Haymon fighters. none of them will fight each other.
well i think schafer left cuz oscar is willing to do business with top rank. and schafer n mayweather dont like that so haymon n schafer n mayweather will do business with other companies besides top rank n maybe he can still work with gbp
Schaffer is still signed to GB until 2018 and he is a major shareholder in GB if he and Haymon try to set up a promotional company Oscar will sue his ass for mismanagement of his company and this will take a long time, By his statment i don't think Richard is likely to be back in boxing anytime soon more likely GB pay him off in return he can't compete with them. Haymon is a manager or advisor he isn't a promoter all his fighters can't just up and go when there is nobody to promote them. Haymon has no tv deal HBO won't work with him and Showtime are tied with GB not very attractive to a fighter if they leave they have no promoter and no tv to show their fights. This isn't as bad for Oscar or us fans as people think i bet the majority of Haymon fighters will be sticking around GB because they have no other promoter to go with.
