Brock did impress me and still looks very talented. He floored the guy by shooting at him, he floored him with a punch, he showed some good striking defence, he was great int he mount and was spinning round nicely to get side control. He showed alot in 90seconds. He just needs some patience and experience. Fighting a formeer world champ in your second fight isn't that clever. The risk didn't pay off. I love it when people make a fight with someone who they THINK is on the slide but then shows he isn't and wins. Great way to shoot yourself in the foot. Brock can certainly come back from this.
I'm happy for him, but feel kinda bad at the same time. He is in for another beating in his next fight I feel. I don't think he looked good at all. His standup wasn't impressive at all and to be honest, Brock Lesnar is probably the only guy he could have caught in that move. And even after catching him, Lesnar still could've gotten out of it. I just feel Mir is destined to get his ass kicked.
The reality is the victory means little for Mir. He got pounded by 2 submissions specialists and is still on the worse side of a career injury. Subbing Lesnar has proved nothing for him and wont boost his claims within the title mix. Contrary to what that idiot Goldberg thinks Mir is NOT one of the all time great heavyweight submission specialists. He wasnt even that much of a great champ.
