    Its more about the years of build up and hype. In reality inside of the ring its two great but aging boxing stars who are past their primes.

    Interesting thread as I was feeling the same way. My interest is not at all heightened for it, and now with Bayless reffing, it has waned even more.

    I'm excited..A real opponent for both of them. It's about god damn time. Finally ran out of money from stupid mofo's who bought them ridicilous PPV's over the past few years.

    Guerrero was a joke
    Anyone with a brain knew Ortiz was a joke
    Maidana was a joke (but still did himself proud)
    Maidana 2 was pointless
    Matthysse Garcia was the real fight on Canelo Floyd...Canelo was drained and Trout already exposed him.

    Algieri a joke
    Rios a joke
    Bradley 2 was pointless

    Ortiz was a joke: Agreed

    Maidana I: Joke on paper, turns out he belonged in there and gave Mayweather his toughest fight since DLH. Calling that fight a joke is idiotic.

    Maidana II: Considering how many thought the first fight was competitive and even scored it for Maidana, a rematch wasn't a bad call.

    Alvarez: Drained or not, he doesn't have the style to beat Mayweather. He tends to pause and anyone that pauses will get picked apart. Can't allow someone in Mayweather's style to relax and develop a rhythm.

    Rios: Definitely a joke, but overlooking that Pacquiao was coming off a long lay off and a brutal KO loss is idiotic.

    Algieiri: Arum made it clear that the winner of Algieiri-Provodnikov will fight Pacquiao. The wrong man got the gift decision and the rest is history.

    Bradley II: How can that be a joke when Bradley was clearly gifted in the first fight?. This rematch is something everyone half sane demanded to erase the nonsense of the first fight.

    A fifth fight with Marquez was requested nonstop, it was Marquez who wanted none of it. I bet you would've considered that pointless too if it happened.
