I think GGG likely beats him but would love to see Lemieux land a clean shot on him to see how he takes it. Certainly would not call it ducking if he didn't fight him as I don't rate Lemieux high. It would be exciting while it lasted.

I have no problem with it. Two big punchers, why not?

well by the looks of things :

Korobov-Lee winner for the vacant WBO belt had BJS as a mandatory . . . . so thats 2 fights away

Miguel Cotto is avoiding Golovkin for a canelo fight despite Golovkin somehow forcing a mandatory position whilst holding the WBA belt. Canelo insists on being a junior middleweight fighting at 155 so the WBC belts a no go for now

IBF Middleweight champion Jermain Taylor is likely to avoid anyone who has a shot of knocking him out

    David Lemieux? . . . **** it why not

Lemieux vs Curtis Stevens appeals. Lemieux against Golovkin? David has done absolutely nothing in his career so far to suggest he'd see the fourth round.
Golovkin is 32, no need to waste a date against a guy who crumbled against his most recent KO victim.

I'm much more interested in Lemieux-Jacobs, which GBP can set up in NYC in a heartbeat. Maybe N'Dam in Montreal since he speaks French.

David is still disappointed Quillin dropped out of negotiations after Guerrero went down in 3, that's why he mentioned Quillin to Kellerman on Saturday... somebody needs to convince Quillin to fight Lemieux @ Barclays in his big come back fight, you know the one that's going to open the door to millions and millions after he left 1.4M on the table for Korobov.

Golovkin at this point makes David miss 95% of his shots.

With all of the ducking going on at MW, this wouldn't be that bad of a fight. Mismatch? Yeah of course. Farcical? No. When are the likes of Quillin going to man up and face GGG?

Lemieux can really punch but lacks the boxing skill for that win. I'd like to see Mayweather vs GGG but ODLH says it'll never happen. But than again, we know he hates Floyd and will say anything to disparage him.
    Money in a UD !

You're not seriously comparing Lemieux' punching power with Macklin's and certainly not Geale's right? :blood
I would be very impressed if he just walked trough those bombs.

I was blown away at how strong GGG's So .Cal. following was. He had Carson Ca packed at the Stubhub ! Big ups to GGG... He might replace Andre Ward and Rafael Marquez as the fan favorites there.

    (to) geale

    verb (used with object)

    1. to take a punch flush in the face and land your own in order to overpower a lesser opponent; geale (Daniel Geale, Paulie Malignaggi etc.): "If Gennady Golovkin were to geale David Lemieux the same way he gealed Daniel Geale, it would be mightily impressive."
