Floyd is getting hated too much.

That headbutt was criminal man, CRIMINAL.

The only problem I have is that there are other fighters out there that do worse **** and the funny thing is most Floyd fans I notice are ardent fans of those fighters (hi b-hop)

The Merchant thing is something else though, Floyd is way too sensitive.

People can deal with Ortiz sticking his head in Mayweather's grill. Even Mayweather was laughing at it and never complained. But the head butt that Ortiz did at the end was as you said criminal. If Hopkins did headbutts like that he would be DQ constantly.

Floyd brings it on himself. Understandable how many neutrals would be feeling ripped off at the fight ending that way and he'd be wearing the brunt of that having thrown the sucker punches that ended it. And the way he acted towards Merchant and then his post fight tirade towards Pacquaio, who wasn't at the fight, had nothing to do with the fight, would attract more ire from the fans. He creates the hate, and he loves it. The tears are because he's very feminine inside, very sensitive to criticism. But he loves the hate, it brings in more potential subscribers to his fights.

The punch was legal but unsportsmanlike. Naturally, people are not going to like that sort of thing, hitting an opponent when he's trying to hug and apologize (for like the 100th time).

But Floyd deserves plenty of the criticism he gets for the way he's handled his career, especially post-2007.
