I would love to see him lace em up one more time at least....

Although I personally believe that he cherrypicked a bit, and also that he gets EXTREMELY overrated by some here on ESB, I still respect his skills and style.. He is a great boxer and one of the best fighters ever at 168...

I think whoever comes out on top of this Super 6 tournament would be the perfect opponent and is worth fighting for Joe... Especially if it were Froch.

A Froch v Calzaghe Mega fight at Wembley would be worth flying over the Britain for! Hell even AA vs Calzaghe would be a huge fight in Europe..

By the time this tournament is over, ol Joe should have gotten plenty of rest and I know he could still fight. Do you think He would come back for a final fight?? I heard that he still looks very fit right now...

He's finished, has no intention to come back, has more than enough money to be happy and quite a good profile as a media personality to make himself a second career.

I think if he could come back in the shape he was against Roy Jones Jr and be that motivated in every fight, there isn't anyone from 160 to 175 that would trouble him, but like he recently said when his father said "We could have had another 3 to 4 years" - "Yeah, but I just can't be bothered anymore"

Got to be annoying when you're told "You won't beat Lacy", "You won't beat Kessler", "You won't beat Hopkins" and have each of those wins turned against you not for what you did, but for what your opponent couldn't do to you.

Yea but you don't think if Froch wins this tournament , that he will be seen as the greatest british champion of recent memory in the eyes of the public? I think he'll call out Calzaghe so much that Joe might just want to come out and try and teach Froch a lesson...

Joe's turned his hand to ballroom dancing these days. I reckon he's going to do a lot more of that type stuff and try his hand at becoming a celeb

If Froch managed to win and Joe felt up to it, that's a fight that could potentially happen, mostly because I think Joe would see it as an easy fight for both money and legacy.

Froch in all likelyhood will not win. I see Kessler winning the whole tournament, which will make concrete the retirement of Calzaghe.

He has not been retired for long but he is getting old so a win would just be tainted by this fact and JC fans will just say he is shot. Plenty of other good options for Froch and he can forget about Calzaghe.

I would love to see him fight one or two more times, but if he's not close to what he was, I rather not. It would just dimish his greatness if he is too far fast prime.

If Dawson won against Johnson, I would not mind seeing that, then maybe Froch if he does well in the tournament (but might be too long to wait for), or maybe even try and win a CW title for legacy if Adamek goes back to CW after the Golota fight.

Maybe he would still be okay to come back, with his hands having some time to heal up, similar to Floyd. Now he's dancing like Floyd did. Maybe he'll come back too.

One fight that may not be the best since he lost so bad to Hopkins, is Pavlik. I only want him to fight Pavlik so Pavlik fans no longer question who would win, but I doubt Pavlik would want to move up in weight again for some time, but if he beats Williams, it's a pretty big fight again!

    Lacy-Overhyped Bum
    Kessler-still unproven
    Hopkins-ROBBED

Thats why those wins were turned against him

Bingo. No respect. Calaghe is an ATG. When it's time for joe to inducted
boxing in the USA will be irrelevant anyway. He's a megastar in europe.

I wouldn't mind seeing him comeback, not his biggest fan but there isnt anyone that will beat him if he is still in good shape and it would shut up the idiots.

He will stay retired for the same reasons as Lennox- he doesn't want to fight anymore, he has nothing left to prove, and he is tired of answering haters who will never give him any credit anyway,
