You need to read Joe Calzaghe's autobiography.In it JC said that Jones was an unworthy opponent due to his devastating ko losses to Tarver and Johnson.He also said that he would never fight Jones because he said Jones was shot.This is all down on paper as I am not making this up.You can read it yourself.Then,a couple of years later,after the fight was signed,he went around saying that Jones was still great.What based on Jones' "devastating" victory over equally shot former welter Trinidad?The problem with Calzaghe is that he's a liar and you or I or anyone else cannot believe anything he says in regard to Jones or whomever.

 

He had 2 bad nights against the same opponent.That's 2 times.Without ad******g.That same opponent that's been ko'd by Kelly Pavlik and Carl Froch,neither of whom will go down as ATG's.And how can you be so sure that age wasn't a factor in his losing?And when you write "blitz",what comes to mind is devastating ko's,something Hopkins was never known for.And nowadays people are going around saying that Hopkins' victory over Pavlik was this fantastic victory and proves that Bernard still belongs in the top 5 p4p-something I don't get because in his last 7 fights,Bernard is 4-3 with 0 ko's.Now,if it were a "great" victory,then Kelly must be a helluva fighter,which would be contrary to what the majority of the posters on ESB would say.Do you believe that Kelly is a helluva fighter?I think Hopkins just outboxed a very strong but limited fighter.By the way,the Pavlik fight is the last fight that Hopkins has had.How he could be in anyone's top 5 or even top 10 p4p due to lack of great victories(if you want to give him the props for the Pavlik victory,so be it.I just don't),or without considering his inactivity is just illogical.

I only think that after Calzaghes retirement that some people are realising this guy was elite and top of the tree by a long way.

Not many people said bhop was robbed after the fight. Only after he beat pavlik did people jump on the wagon and claim robbery. Lol bhop throws less than 20 a round, loses and claims robbery. What else is new?

I thought Bhop won that fight... I can only remember one clean punch landed on Bhop all night, i think it was a cross right in the middle rounds... They kept showing that punch over and over again as there was nothing else to show...
