Gannicus claims to train BJJ and Muay Thai, just though he might want to train a bit if I go the to the U.K. this fall. He even pulled the race card on that, probably just as well, I would end up walking into some gym where everyone is waiting for the evil racist to show up including the U.K. police.
I don't buy this idea that he hasn't earned his hype either, he's dominated two elite/near elite level boxers in Walters and Russell and beat some other solid guys, has he earned p4p #1? No, but p4p top 5? Definitely for me. Even if you don't think so, he's in the contention just really off his resume.
All the talk measures Loma against Garcia but Linares is the most under rated boxer in the game and I rate him above Garcia and having a better chance of beating Loma although I think Loma beats both.
Somewhat but for me it's still not real pro bouts, all the guys competing there were amateurs so he was still pretty much doing the same thing as he would have just fighting extra 10 amateur fights (or however many he had on WSB). Seasoned pro boxers are a different breed.
Lol! Geez... what a DUMP certain parts of the U.K has turned into. Well... maybe a poster on here could recommend a couple of good nightclubs to go to while you're there!
I think his skills are legit... but Im not sold on his physicality. Im also not sure how well his style will age.
His physicality is a huge strength {pun intended} The guy grew into a very powerful JLW and will be a brute as LW as well. Some of the things he does in training are very impressive and take tremendous amount of strength such as weighted rope climbs.
He's had a limited amount if fights. But let's have it right most elite fighters have maybe 10 big fights at end of their career which count as anything at all. He's just skipped his introduction Look at AJ had 19 fights and maybe 3 are actually real fights . Lomas had limited fights but there all meaningful.
Only in your opinion. Garcia punches harder although his power is over rated and he has a better chin but Linares tops him in every other department. Better footwork, movement and hand speed and combinations that make Garcia look slow. Linares is the more skillful boxer. Garcia would not have an easy time with him like he did with stationary Bronner who was reluctant to let his hands go. Garcia has never fought a highly skillfed slick boxer like Linares.
