I was not excited about Rios vs Alvarado II either. The second fight with Alvarado was to big a risk for so little value for Rios. The same could be said about the Pacquiao fight. If Rios loses, no one will be surprised. If Rios were to win, everyone will be quick to point out that Pacquiao was shot after Marquez knocked him out. If Rios wins or stops Pacman, no one will give Rios credit for the win. There is nothing here for Rios other than a pay check. It is a lose lose situation other than getting well paid.
I will watch it but unless it is a very competetive fight. I will not like it. I think Rios may lose badly and he will lose to a once great who has been beaten twice in a row. Pacquiao will out box Rios and if the fight is close get the decision. I don't see either fighter stopping the other.

I fear the fight will be as boring as the Abril fight.

Abril totally negated Rios and showed he has c level skills, Pac will KO Rios dont make mistake about it, skill level is so wide apart it cant be compared, Rios is much worse fighter than Margarito and alot smaller he will not be able to withstand those kind of shots Pac stops him in 6th!

Pac will come to fight, he really has something to prove now.

    This should be exciting.

I don't agree with this logic at all. I agree the Alvarado rematch was a lose-lose situation, but any form of win over a superstar like Pacquiao would be HUGE for him in every way - his current standing, his marketability, and his legacy. And just because some people may later try to discredit it by saying Pac is "shot" doesn't mean "no one will give Rios credit for the win."
