I think Cotto would beat Pac. Thing people are forgetting, Pac hit Diaz and Oscar many times without putting them down (Diaz only in the 9th, after being hit flush for the whole fight) and they were two of his last three fights. He hit Hatton pretty clean a few times in that first round before putting him down, and Hatton survived the round to continue looking horrible and coming forward taking punches in the 2nd.

Cotto doesn't take that many clean punches from the outside, he has a nice tight guard. It's pressure work on the inside that gives him trouble, and I've never seen Pac do much of that nor could he given his size disadvantage.

Also note that Cotto gets hurt, but is very hard to put down and finish off. We've seen that in several fights, including last night. And...I don't think Pac has the natural power of Margo, especially with loaded gloves.

So, I can't see Pac stopping Cotto, unless it's a total outboxing situation, like SSM vs. Margo.

Otherwise, I think Cotto's too big, heavy-handed and compact for Pac.

If Pac fights Cotto at a fair catchweight, he will win.

If Pac agrees to fight Cotto at Cotto's weight and gives up 10-12lbs on fightnight when he doesn't have to, I think he is stupid but I still think he would win.

I hope we get the opportunity to find out who is right, Mr Timewarp. :good

Pac beats Cotto at any weight.

What I saw from the Clottey fight was this. Cotto is getting easier to hit these days. It will be like shooting fish in a barrel for Manny. If Clottey who is no where near as fast nor thus he have the power as Manny. Can land so many clean shots against Cotto imagine what a precision speedy puncher like Manny can do. I say Manny stopping Cotto in the late rounds.

I thought i was watching a bit of heavyweight fight. **** so slow. Several times Clottey would just let Cotto pummeled him with punches before making a short burst. I tend to doubt Clottey's stamina.

I felt the exact OPPOSITE.....given what I saw on Sat. Cotto's many flaws would be exploited from someone as fast and style that PAC embodies. Straight punches....fast, sharp and accurate. THat spell a very bad match up for Cotto who hooks a lot against far slower fighters who are not as busy as Manny. Cotto did impress me last night and I was wrong in my prediction. I thought Josh would pull out the Decision in a clear but competitive fight....while it was close and competitive the winner was far from Clear.....but I gave the fight to Cotto for how he conducted himself throughout with all the obstacles early on and how he finished like a champion.....with that said Josh won rounds more convincingly and did more damage with far more accuracy than Miguel. Great fight for Cotto and I feel he deserved to get the nod....but that is just me.

Please don't let this PACMAN vs COTTO fight, because COTTO will definiftely be massacred and the excuse will be, he's already SHOT after MARGARITO fight. Don't let his name be tarnished by fighting PACMAN, because his name will be wiped out after that! :hat

I favor Pac but I highly doubt he's gonna bulldoze Cotto.

True, Cotto didn't look good yesterday but he was up against a big WW in Clottey, who appeared to have a very good chin and Cotto had that nasty cut too so if I expect Cotto to be more aggressive and less tentative against the smaller Pac.

The biggest factor I think is how well Pac can take Cotto's punches. Cotto is no Hatton so I expect that Cotto would be able to land on Pac.

Pac v Hatton was percieved as a speed vs power battle. Speed (with some surprising power won). This time, it's speed v even more power (and better defense).

It definitely won't be easy for Pac. And if Pac can take Cotto's power, it won't be easy for Cotto either. Good fight!!
