Some must have a higher pain threshold than others. But if that's the case...surely they would have known that as soon as they started boxing, and chosen a different career. Also, your point about certain boxers not willing to trade. There are some boxers out there that have all the talent in the world, but are not willing to dig deep at any point. They would rather lose than take shots. It's frustrating to watch more than anything.
So I google audley harrison and this is what I get: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/ot...-by-Irish-journeyman-Martin-Rogan-Boxing.html I feel like I have 1 foot in the grave supporting this guy.
Look at the scared look on his face...you will see plenty of that, plus him reaching out to grab Haye if he thinks he is about to be hit.
Just an off night for A-Force. And how can they called Rogan a journeyman when he was like 10-0 at that point? Anyway, it almost clicked for Big Aud, but it WILL click against Haye. A-Force after the fight here: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rBg8HM1xQ_k[/ame] Destiny is inevitable, undeniable and irrefutable.
Audley comes off like a fan who somehow made it in the sport and has the desire to make something big happen because he knows how much it resonates with the other fans.
All you bandwagon jumpers will understand why a lot of us Brits laugh at ole Audley when he does ABSOLUTELY NOTHING on Nov 13th that he promised in his interview. Then you'll get it.
British fighters are mentally weak? British HW's might be weak minded, but not British fighters in general, take Hatton, he was a better fight than Judah, simply because! of his mental strength, other British fighters with strong mentality's, Nigel Benn, Carl Froch. Your getting sucked into the hype imo. Harrison is a guy that would rather delude himself into thinking there is a witch hunt against him, rather than look at the real reasons why that criticism is there, which is a result of him losing to Rogan, him getting outboxed on prizefighter by a lesser fighter, which is why those problems wont get addressed, the critism he has received, which has been a direct result of poor performances like that, is so relevant, that its easier for him to act as though everyone is out to get him, not that he actually does have technical/mental flaws in his game that need working on. Also, for Audley to land that kind of punch, he would have to be coming foward, cause his reflexes are too aged to be sitting back looking for counters, only he has never shown he has the appetite/fire in his belly, to fight that kinda fight. Audley deluding himself into thinking things will be different, regarding his mental approach, is not going to make it so, particularly when he has never done it before. I dont mean to be harsh on him, but to me, this is the reality of the situation, although having said that, I hope im wrong, that he knocks Haye out.
Tommy I don't have a problem with this fight because it is a big Domestic fight for you guys. I think it will sell well I am willing to bet the atmosphere will be great at the arena and whatever happens happens. Both guys will make some good money and as long as the winner fights a Klitschko in early 2011 I don't care. I am often accused of hating British Boxers on here which simply is not the case. Audley's interview totally changed things for me the guy was sincere answered all the questions asked of him in a truthful blunt manner. More power to the guy but he is not going to be able to win if he fights in a cautious shell like he often does but he has shown flashes what he can do when he is aggressive in a Boxing ring. :deal
Audley should take the high road regarding the criticisms aimed at him, take it on board, and come back stronger, but he does not do that, he makes out there is a witch hunt against him, which is why I dont think the he constructively uses the criticisms to his advantage, its like he makes excuses for himself mentally, which if you do have mental issues that need addressing, is not going to improve, you have to recognize a problem before you can fix it imo.
the only reason you're rooting for this glass jawed fighter harrison to beat the other glass jaw david haye is becase haye talked so much **** about your beloved wladimir klit (another glass jawed joke) and then shamelessly ducked him. you're exposed now, you're a glass jaw lover
Unfortunatly THIS:deal. David Haye has become such an ******* that the people now actually want the most joked about fighter in british boxing Audley Harrison to pull this off. And Harrison despite everything, his delusions and all, has conducted himself with upmost dignity during this build up, that has actually won the respect of quite a few fans like me who just poked fun at him before. I am a AUDLEY HARRISON fan on Nov 13th, i genuinly would love to see him do it.
